    Between saying "WoW" in sync, the heavenly views & the squirrel trying to enter the netherworld (unsuccessfully), I’d say that it was a great day.
    Way to get out there & achieve your dreams.

    I'm proud of you man. You are a good rider, very respectful, were'nt lane spitting, riding on grass, going thru red lights, showing what a great rider you were on the sidewalks or just being an ass. Ive do
    ne Red cone a few times, you came up the brutal rock garden way. Now I just go up Webster Pass and call it good enough.

    How does the suspension handle small bumps? Looked a little rattley. Too bad they didn’t use a coil fork

    So cool! I'm looking to buy one. How do you deal with charging when you're in the back country for multiple days?

    • @trexn8
      @trexn8  3 года назад +2

      Thank you for watching! I charge the battery fully before a trip and usually it is plenty for a big ride one day and a short ride the next day. That is usually enough for me but on longer trips I will top off the battery with a Yeti battery bank. You could also use a gas generator to charge multiple times, I have one but haven't felt the need to bring it yet.

      I have a Mitsubishi PHEV Outlander Plug in Hybrid. I charge at home before a race weekend for my kids mx races and drive in hybrid to the track and utilize the 5 levels of regen throughout the drive. I can charge my son's Husqvarna EE 5 about 8 times before using gas to charge the car EV battery back up. The car has 2 x 1500 watt outlets (does not work with KTM eXC). The EE5 uses a 970 wh battery but at most surges to 1300 watts while charging (so it doesn't work with my Go Sun battery bank after a hard moto but does if i need to do a quick charge during a cold morning already fully charged). I plan on doing the same for the Cake Kalk OR race, maybe bring the extra battery I ordered so I don’t have to tap into the car EV battery. I use a Go Sun 1200 solar generator battery for the tent and 100 watts of solar. I can top off my tent battery with the car but I prefer to leave that strictly for bike charging. My youngest son races Stacyc and Oset MX 10 (I have a second battery for the Oset). In summary, I'm able to do a lot with 9 kwh on tap with gas as an option to charge up the EV batteries in the car within 30 minutes but haven't had to do so over 3 days of race camping. Showers are all with the Geyser system, cooking using battery with Cauldryn mugs and Hot Bento devices, fridge cooler by Iceco and battery powered blankets from Gobi Heat (last race weekend was near freezing at night).

    Amazing man! Dahm that was an awesome ride!! Thanks for sharing, really impressed you still had 3 bars left, I geuss you could technically do that loop twice then but get pretty low battery at the top?

    I was just about to say the same thing, do you think that the street version could make a hour commute 47 miles one way then charge throughout a 8 hour shift then make it back. It would be somewhat of a slow commute heading from WV to Virginia and back

    • @trexn8
      @trexn8  3 года назад

      I think you could make that commute on the street version especially with the higher gearing it comes with. Many factors can affect range like outdoor temperature, elevation gain, accelerating, and overall speed traveling. Charge time from 0%-100% is 2.5 hours. Thanks for watching! Hope to see you around in the future!

    Im really amazed by the range ability. Have you ever reached the limit on a trip? Basically trying to find out what the max range` might be on such trails. I was looking at the sur ron xx and the ktm but that convinced me so far the most. Probably would get the new race version but without ohlins

    • @trexn8
      @trexn8  3 года назад +1

      It really is amazing and one of the reasons why I went with the Cake over the others you listed as well. The Cake is highly optimized in the regards of weight, power, and overall capability. It was engineered from the ground up to be in a new electric dirt bike category. That is the reason you see better range and performance from this bike. I have never reached the limit in range. Max range depends on many factors like elevation gain, elevation decent (regeneration), throttle output, rider weight etc. With that being said you can expect around 25-45 miles. Possibly a bit more in light duty usage.

      @@trexn8 yeah i think i will drive the same speed for the start as you. So your videos been much more relatable to me then this motocross pros here who drive every path at full speed and drain the battery quickly :) i want it to explore the paths im to anxious to go with my big offroad truck and to have a bit fun on small narrow trails like i used to have on my mtb dirt bike.
