Well , a lot of you have been waiting for this , but yet again the 1st day got a bit heavy as I was caught up in a session , and span out of control a bit so apologies for any slurring or sloppy camera work. Watch the video through to the end , you might be surprised by my conclusion as to which pub served me the best pint during this tour. Of course I'll have to check out some of these pubs again as the pints might not be consistent at some of the pubs.
It’s amazing that a man can just record himself drinking pints all day and still make it entertaining 😂 I love how the speech got gradually more slurred with each pint in the gravediggers. Seemed like a good night! 👍🏼
Mutton-this was a brilliant watch. Please never change the videography. The session at the gravediggers looked v tough to prize yourself away from! Great content-loads of comedic value whilst providing fantastic advice!
Went cross the pond to dublin this past october and hit all the aforementioned pubs. Gravediggers bar none had the best pint ive ever had...considering i drank my way round the country. Bang on video man!
Before I die i intend to visit the Gravediggers and spend a full weekend in there from noon to midnight! Excellent and funny video Mutton hufely enjoyable and no need to apologise for making the most of your session, we'd do the same! SLAINTE 🍻💙
Glad you got to visit Kilmainham Gaol again. Indeed the focus has changed on the tour to reflect not just the rebels but the general population who ended up there for various things like stealing food to survive back then.
Yes it was a well guided and informative tour which did spell out that stealing food was the most common reason for incarceration (including of children iirc)
Mate this content is just the absolute best. Also cheers for the Guinness 0.0% shout out, I don’t drink and love the Zero, especially when watching football. Have yet to find it on tap here in the states, have to settle for cans unfortunately
Hi I am the Wythenshawe blue who you met In the pub across the road from the station in Newcastle. at the league Cup game. Regarding weatherspoons pubs in Newcastle one is the Mile Castle ,it's at the back of that pub near the station,on the left as you are walking towards the town centre. The other one in the Gate complex 1 minute from Mile castle. It's called The Keel Row, it's on the right in the gate complex, it's the last bar.Good luck.Remember you carnt beat a bit of City !!!!!
That was really helpful, I've wanted to visit Guinness for a while out of interest but, as a non-drinker, wondered about zero alcohol being served in draught. Great video and many thanks,
Love Guinness but the black poop that comes later makes me terrified about how my insides must look after a session. Not had any stout for a few years but now craving a pint of the black stuff!
Thanks 🙏 I’ve not been to Belfast for 20 years , at that time I remember the Guinness being distinctly inferior to that in the Republic . Has that changed ? In fact it appeared to me to be the same or slightly better than Guinness in Britain
good video mate, I visited dublin in 2018, need to go back again may book a lone flight… found your channel after the man city defeat to my team (villa) subscribed 🙏
As a proud inner city Dub myself, the pint in the Skybar is horrendous. The bar down the steps underneath it serves an excellent pint. John Kavanaghs (Gravediggers) , inconsistent pints from average to excellent . Bowes? Fabulous. But for me, the best pint I've ever had is in Taafes in Galway City. Absolutely unbelievable.
From Dublin and I gotta say, it baffles me and disappoints me in equal measure, why the pint at the storehouse isnt one of the best in Dublin. Should check all the boxes - frequently drank, clean lines, proper pours etc. No excuse for it to not be amazing. Great video anyways ,Mutt.
Yes I had equally bad pints decades ago and it hasn’t changed . It should be one of the best, but they have a captive market so they don’t need to do much.
Couldnt agree more, just got back from dublin and ive had some amazing guinness during my trip! Bowes and walsh's being the highlights but the G in the gravity bar is way below the standard it should be which is baffling to me! It should be the pinacle...
Traditionally the snug was for women to drink in as it was not thought proper for them to drink in the public bar. It was also a handy spot for the local doctor, solicitor ( even the local Garda/police) etc. to have a sneaky or quiet pint.
Loving the videos Mutt. Curious, you travel so much, seems like you have an extremely flexible life. Its amazing! Do you still work or retired ? What did/do you do for a living ? Obviously no obligation to share
@@primemutton not sure of the exact date, but possibly the last weekend in July. Keep an eye on Google. Dublin are favourites to retain the Football title.
I think the worst pint of Guinness I ever had was that frozen ice cold Guinness. It should be served at a certain temperature not ice cold from my experience. Love the video very good 👍
As a bartender in a previous life here in Dublin i can tell you that the clenliness of the glass is hugely important and also what they use in the dishwasher, some pubs serve tea , coffee and food and the grease can make it's way into the dishwasher and onto the glassws , and also use detergent which affects the glassware too , Walsh's in Stoneybatter is far better than the Gravediggers, pint is better and the staff are not as full of themselves as in the Gravediggers.
Went into tom Kennedys in November best pint I had, I had guiness and beamish and both fantastic. There was a bloke making sandwiches under the stairs. 😂😂😂

Great blog as usual. Not many bad pints in Dublin as long as you avoid Temple Bar. You can use the nitro surge on ordinary cans, just stick a pin in top of can to slowly release air, then open and pour using the device. Still not the same as draught though. CTID.

I used to visit Galway frequently, but before I started filming . Apart from Freeney’s and the office in Salthill I can’t remember the other pubs .
