Rockstars making the "hey heres how you play that one song we did" videos will always kick ass. Yeah you toured the world, played in front of millions but taking the time to sit down, record a little video is always going to be awesome. We all appreciate it.
Scotti… This is so awesome that you are right here. In 1989, we worshipped you and Snake. I don’t care for social media except in cases like this. Hope you are doing well.
I can still remember when I first heard this on a boombox at a swim club when I was kid. I was in a dark teenage part of my life and this song instantly resonated. The intro is one of the ultimate hooks of 80's music.
I was near the front at giants stadium when skid row opened for Bon Jovi and Sam kinison came out to introduce skid I caught a cup thrown out by Sebastian that was torn to shreds by all the sharks near me but at least I have scottis pick that he threw out many to which I still have to this day….. so glad I got to see skid twice on their first tour…. They kicked ass
Thanks a bunch for doing this Scotti! It is so awesome to get a lesson from the actual player who wrote the song. Great guitar driven song. Thanks again.
My "being a guitar player" started with this song-I had an acoustic in the closet, had a couple lessons with my Grandma when I was 9, forgot about it, but no question, this caused me to pick it back up for life.
Playing electrical guitar is not only speed and complex notes. You need to have "Feeling". And that's what Scotti also has. Thank you for making music!!!
I loved covering this tune and a few others in the 80's tribute band I was in and I always covered your parts which were great to play. I think that you covering these great songs for players is the coolest thing brother. ✌🏻
I think it's not just about amp setup, it about guitar that you use also. Those late 80s Jacksons like this one in this video had a very very unique sound, which is very very hard to emulate these days . Those 80s Jacksons and Charvels are pure gold. If you have one, it's like you have a big crate of gold in your house or apartment
Woah haha, i was playin this song this morning before work on my Yamah THR10, such a great little amp! Blue tooth to stream songs or backing tracks, really great! - Cool to see Scotti giving a lesson with the amp!!!!!
Very cool! Does anyone know why the Jackson logo is covered up? I remember seeing Skid Row in the clubs before the first album and this guitar didn't have the logo covered up back then.
Not sure if you'll read this, but in 2021 I sat in between you and Paul on a flight to mpls from sacramento. Had a good chat with Paul and we talked a little. Said I'd look you guys up when I got off the flight and yeah I was right when I said I didn't know I was sitting next to some legends lol. I started playing guitar almost 2 years ago now, and I'm in a cover band and we are going to cover some of your guys songs haha! keep rocking dude!
I think that this Jackson is somewhere from the mid towards the late 80s. I prefer this one, just because of this kind of sound. It has three or five coil tap switches, which was normal for Jacksons in that time, but as far as i see, those coil tap switches from this video were took off. But anyways, i with you, that this Jackson is amazing. It's my life dream to have it.
Psh right? Who needs the other guitarist to teach his parts when the other one (no disrespect to sabo of course) can do it all himself like a fuckin boss

Scotti Hill you wrote the music of my life! Amazing artist!
The outro guitar solo has always been one of my favorite gems in rock music. Genius
Oh yes. Teenage me listened to that over and over, occasionally in tears.
Scotti…

Dudes so underrated, it's a crime👍
Still one of the sexiest riffs ever!!! Damn 🔥 Skid Row was everything to me in 92……
Yep 90-93 was the peak time ever in World history - and it's all turned to shit in just 3 short years since - it's uncanny.
Learned all the riffs to Youth Gone Wild yesterday and today im going to learn the solo on that and then this song :)
My "being a guitar player" started with this song-I had an acoustic in the closet, had a couple lessons with my Grandma when I was 9, forgot about it, but no question, this caused me to pick it back up for life.

Thnx Scotti seen you guys twice in the early 90’s. Awesome both times. Once with Aerosmith and one with Pantera. Awesome shows
Awesome guitar, was getting ready to ask about it. 🤘🏻
He sounds better with the Yamaha THR-10 than today's youtube guitarrists with "Profilers", "Modelers" and their dust-free Quad/Nano Cortexes 🤣

80s hair bands rule. Best era of music ever. I always loved Scottie’s sound. What was your set up? Make it work with Sebastian!

Wow!!! Amazing sound from BLUE JACKSON!!! I love It!!
I think that this Jackson is somewhere from the mid towards the late 80s. I prefer this one, just because of this kind of sound. Scotti I appreciate you being active on RUclips. Look for my entry 👍🏼🤘🏼
I am your biggest fan in Japan🤘
❤❤❤❤
Fine lesson,dude..one of my fckn'life songs..!
that pinch harmonic was nasty
That intro
What kind of guitar is that?
I would've guessed maybe a Charvel, but I didn't see a name on the headstock. 🤷♂️
Plise intro solo,live versione,Budokan Hall 1992.
I'd love to know more about that blue guitar
I think I have this same guitar with the kahler trem option. Got it at Sam Ash in NYC around 86-87. Mine is still stock. It's a Jackson USA.
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Check out scottie fingers ¡!!!!!!
Awesome you don't see any of the rockstars giving me guitar lessons like Scotti from skid row
That blue guitar, what brand is that?
It's a jackson, he said it on his RUclips channel.
@@HardRockHeavyMetal use to play this when i was 16 now i cant remember a single note, time flys man.
Genial 👏
Bro, that is not the Neck stock that you use in that video right? I'm using a Schecter changing 89 to 5 pick up see what happen

🔥🔔👊
How are u scott
Hi, Scotti san
Scotti, I have the same socks 😅
3:38 Does he go to Sonic and get a Corn Dog w/chili?
He is my father.
He's playing it a bit different to the way i do it but i guess ya can't really say he's doing it wrong since he wrote it eh?
My guess is that not many folks care how you play it. 😂
Not bad, man. You sound like you might have done that a few times. 🤣
…putting an APB out on two stolen black pickups. …singles, not dualies…
Dude...need more of these, love them.
Psh right? Who needs the other guitarist to teach his parts when the other one (no disrespect to sabo of course) can do it all himself like a fuckin boss
thanx scotti..keep kickin ass !!
