    It's still not priced for the normal person.

    Over engineered and definitely overpriced. Let's not forget we're camping folks. $40k less will buy you the exact same outdoors experience.

    I do not debate the quality of the product at all, I have seen them in person, however they are extremely expensive and over priced. Clearly they are selling and making money but there are other products out there they are built just as good but they are not over pricing their product. Today that problem is, overlanding trailers are popular so prices are going up just because of that, not because of the product, but the companies that don't fall to that are the companies more people are going with. To many companies worry about the high-end profit. I know a lot of people that like your product but they "would never spend that much money on one" .. They are more expensive then a full RV trailer or 5th wheel is some cases.

    I ordered a new X3 this year and it has been the WORST EXPERIENCE with a company in my entire life! The worst quality control ever. Camper delivered with ITEM MISSING, TRAILER BRAKES NOT WORKING, Water Tanks Leaking, Hand brake not adjusted, and to TOP it off. the Tent Leaks when it Rains! Then they wanted "Tickets opened" for DAY ONE Issues. Months later still not resolved!

    Well built by the looks pity the Gen1 owners are not as well looked after with after sales issues. I would have liked to upgrade to a Gen2 but due to patriots after sales service/support… probably not gonna happen. Its all well and good when your the one holding the mic, I don’t see patriot address any complaints or comments made. Ppl Justin can say what he wants about how good they are, it’s true they are good. It’s when something goes wrong that Patriot does not look after its clients. Sad really for a company who states it all about being Australian.

    Great video and excellent dedication to quality, I genuinely wish I could afford one. But as a consumer, I still can’t justify up to $93k for an X3 when I can get an Austack Simpson for $20k or even a full Hybrid caravan for $50k. We’re in a cost of living crisis, you guys need to figure out how to make your product cheaper as opposed to how to make it better (it’s clearly already better).

    I've watched this video several times and perhaps a little late to the party, but as an engineer, Patriot Campers hands down make the best camper trailer on the market. As a great believer in supporting Australian made, you definitely tick that box. As far as I'm concerned, worth every cent and after seeing this video, my upgrade from the Patriot MY22 X1 will definitely be the Patriot X1 Gen2 (when the timing is right). Right now, I love my X1 Gen1: the quality, the performance, the features, the aesthetics are impeccable. You're a premium manufacturer making premium products, which is the only reason I bought my first camper trailer, after tenting for 30 years, from Patriot Campers. I hope nothing changes with your business model just because some people think your product is expensive but coming from the automotive industry our mantra used to be "Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten". Don't change a thing Justin.

    Hi Justin, all our smash repair methods on the alloy structure of a Tesla uses riveting and chemical bonding. The strength of modern 2k adhesives is mind blowing, you will tear the metal before the adhesive lets go. Hand made is expensive, low volume and high quality equals a premium price just look at high end car manufactures. BTW I loved seeing the "skeleton" of your trailers, just a tradie thing.

      @@daddydavo8357 I would grab customers while they are young so they come back for premium products later. with the car prices these days plus accessories and insurance that have gone up it's unlikely that any 20-year-old could spend another 50k+ on the trailer.

    • @tomskimcdouglegaming806
      @tomskimcdouglegaming806 7 месяцев назад +3

      There's plenty of lower cost campers out there. Especially used. These guys are clearly aimed at the upper end of the market.

    These are awesome, no doubt. Probably the best quality camper out there, or one of. But, whether it's worth it or not, is up to the individual. Not everyone has 60-90k to throw on one of those, or needs it.
    But if money was no object, then you can't really beat a patriot.
    Really like the focus on Australian products and manufacturing.

Let alone a 589 or 610 sized general purpose, aluminium, family boat. With all you've learned over the years. I know you've got the design knowledge and manufacturing capabilty in-house.

    At first watching him explain the trailer and the testing I was like are most of the weld points yellow to highlight the craftsmanship but then remembered if they did a destructive test then it was yellow for weld inspection with the penetrating dye. But seeing the frame like it is shows why patriot camper is worth the price tag.

    Thanks for going into such great detail of what makes your overlander rigs so special. I have followed Brad's (Trail Recon on YT) travels with a couple of your trailers. I was surprised to hear you use Deutsch connectors! Believe it or not, way back in the early 1970's I worked for, and received my Toolmaker (tool & die) certificate from the local Deutsch Company plant, which was the largest employer in my area at the time. I'm sure it was the same Deutsch Company, founded by Alex Deutsch not long after WWII ended, although the company logo seems to no longer be in use. And yes, I helped build and maintain tooling for their huge variety of mostly aircraft and space grade connectors, including the 155 pin connectors.

    Bloody proud these trailers are made in Australia, definitely the best quality it’s the sort of trailer that you can hand down through the family it would last that long! I would love to be a proud Patriot owner ,again not overpriced but out of reach of the average Aussie like myself. The amount of time it would take me to save to afford one of these I’ve lost years of just getting out there, yes with a Chinese trailer but I will never stop trying to win one of these would be a dream come true. Keep innovating Patriot family🏕️
