Is algae bad for a pond?
Algae is a natural part of a pond ecosystem and foundational to the aquatic food chain. Single-cell algae are fed on by zooplankton and microorganisms that ultimately feed and sustain fish. Algae is actually essential to a healthy pond environment.
But too much of even a good thing can become problematic. In the video I discuss how algae blooms can occur and some simple things you can do to deal with them.
