These guitars are sleepers for sure, the early 80's Kramer focus guitars were very high quality and had an original Floyd Rose on them. I am always looking out for another Focus 3000.
I have a Focus 1000 in the same color..I saw it hanging up in a store in 1994 and got it for $125 ! Mine has an EMG ( not slanted) and a front pickup, volume and a tone knob with a real Floyd too. It plays real good, never goes out of tune.. love it. I also have a Peavey Tracer from the late 80's it has a kahler with a maple neck, reverse head stock .. it's a nice axe too.
I’ve been waiting for so long to see a Kramer showcased on this channel! Awesome! My first guitar was a late 80’s Kramer in the same color. Still have it.
as a owner of an 83 focus 2000 since 1994, i can say, THESE ARE GREAT FKN GUITARS!! Earlier the better. the latter ones suffered cheaper hardware and electronics. the pointy headstock is when they changed. Mine is beat all to hell and always delivers.
Now THIS is how a 100% Heavy Metal red colored guitar is supposed to be like it was back when, and ironically my 1st electric guitar was in fact a Kramer but not like this🎸 🤘🏻 💯 Definitely one of the best guitars ever made 🎸 ☝️
Awesome playing man!! I still have my Kramer Focus 3000 w/Floyd that I purchased in the 80s brand new...fantastic instrument! Can’t part with it...especially now! ✌🏻🎸
Nice! Pretty sure these were made by ESP Japan. I still have my mint 1985 Kramer Deluxe USA lefty custom ordered. Took 8 months to get! They were going crazy! Awesome guitar. Kramer was #1 in sales at that time.
Nice!! 1 instrument I picked up that skipped learning my scales...found later Id never be able to solo to lead until I did. EVH, all time greatest of his day. Every teen wanted to play like him.
My first guitar was almost a Kramer, 3 pickups, a few knobs and a mini toggle... but I wound up with a cheaper Washburn strat copy... somewhere in an alternate dimension I’m playing all hair metal all the time with that thing!
Ive had a Kramer Focus 600 in black for about 8 years now I got when I was 18. I put an original 70s Dimarzio Super Distortion in the bridge and it sounded fuckin rockin!!.. It was time for a change so I put a Bill Lawrence L500XL in the bridge and its a fucking tone MONSTER.. Plays like a straight shredder. Nothing beats it
The Focus Kramer's are far from a banjo, people didn't realize how good these were back in the day, and because they were cheaper people assumed they must be crap right? WRONG! It wasn't until people spent 3 times the money that they realized, hey maybe my old Kramer Focus was good after all. I know I was one of them.
I’ve always loved the Kramer headstock but still I preferred the G&L Invader or Superhawk over Kramer. And can anyone tell me what is the appeal of buying a guitar with only one pickup and one knob? I really don’t get it. Like what is the downside to having even one more pickup? You might use the other pickup at some point so why not just have it?
Some people believe that a guitar with one pickup sounds better than with two or three because you have less wood removed and that helps with sustain and also (In theory) having only one pickup reduces the amount of magnetic pull on the strings caused by having multiple pickups, which may allow the strings to ring out more freely giving you more sustain. I am not sure how much difference really is but I saw a video in youtube where they were testing this and it was supposed to be true, but not much.
It is so painful watching people have fun on these Kramers as a lefty. They just don’t make lefties especially anymore. I sincerely hope they make some in the future as I’d kill to have one. They are my favourite guitar brand even though I’ve never seen one let alone play one.
A I guess you just jam a little harder than you use too! I always liked the locking tuners. big in the eighties. it would of been cool as hell if David Lee showed up behind the couch with a mic and started singing on Panama😎
Fav electric ever was a blue/white Kramer. Put diamarzio pickups, JBL speaker in any amp I bought then started swapping out necks, Jackson Charvel etc. Finally broke down and bought a new Strat to see what the fanboys raved about I hate it. Real cheap pos with a name. DOnt know if thats when they first went overseas or not mid-late 80s

See Craig Fussel in the comments !

I bought a unplayed a tiny bit rusty 87 focus 3000. Plays like a dream…
In the 80s Kramers were built by ESP and the quality was top notch.
We need more of this
Bought one and seen the video- they really have a unique sound
He just makes the guitar talk, like a person, unreal. So effortless looking,so hard to pull off.Love it
I’ve been waiting for so long to see a Kramer showcased on this channel! Awesome!

Lemmon well done!!! Sitting in a tearoom on the South Coast of NSW Australia. Enjoy those EVH riffs. Thinking about you guys in USA. Love your work!
Lemmo. Hate autocorrect.
I had one of these when I was like 12-13 yrs old, I mowed lawns until I paid the layaway off. Mine was white in color. Awesome guitar!!!
Ive got that exact same model in same color. Ive had it since it was new in 85 or 86. I believe these were manufactured by ESP.
I own several old Kramers!! Love them a lot!

not sure why , but I love the videos when Lemmo breaks strings🤘🏻🤘🏻
Awesome playing man!! I still have my Kramer Focus 3000 w/Floyd that I purchased in the 80s brand new...fantastic instrument! Can’t part with it...especially now! ✌🏻🎸
I love one pickup guitars, simple and easy.
Nice! Pretty sure these were made by ESP Japan. I still have my mint 1985 Kramer Deluxe USA lefty custom ordered. Took 8 months to get! They were going crazy! Awesome guitar. Kramer was #1 in sales at that time.
Got laughed at when I bought my Kramer every one else had Charvel Jackson etc. Over time they were sold on it.
Loved that thing
Lemmo...Outstanding! Taking NOTHING away from any of the other era EVH guitars the Kramer era of EVH's guitars is my favorite of all.
Nice!! 1 instrument I picked up that skipped learning my scales...found later Id never be able to solo to lead until I did.
EVH, all time greatest of his day. Every teen wanted to play like him.
Late to the party. Im waiting delivery of a surf green of one of these and cannot wait. See how it compares to my MIM Charvel san Dimas
Just got one of these all original at what I consider a good deal. plays very nice still. mine has a JB J in it same color and knob .
Crazy good playing, I'm convinced I need one of these now
I absolutely love this guitar, way too cool.
My first guitar was almost a Kramer, 3 pickups, a few knobs and a mini toggle... but I wound up with a cheaper Washburn strat copy... somewhere in an alternate dimension I’m playing all hair metal all the time with that thing!
Lemmo, your sense of rhythm is astonishing
Just purchased one on Reverb. SCORE!!! Wanted an EVH style. This is the ultimate! STOKED!
Love to have 80s in white.
Good God.......Michael , you are destined for greatness!!! Good job buddy!!!!!!!! 🎸🎸🎸⚡⚡⚡😎😎😎🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
Dude lemmo if you read this you are a beast and a amazing guitarist 🍻
I really like when Michael gets all pumped up, great stuff!!👍🏼👍🏼😂

Insane playing from Lemmo! Wow
Hot 🔥 dayyyyyyammmm .. Epic Michael. I love this bloody show .. you're all such fabulous people x
Also possibly the best player of Van Halen tunes,so accurate, sounds like Eddie, very cool and emotional to hear
I had that exact same Kramer’s back in late 80s early 90s
I got a vibe Lemmo got a little emotional towards the end, great tribute as usual. Nice to see some Japanese electrics too.
Sounded awesome!!! Loved your playing
Someone gift lemmo this masterpiece mannnn
If I didn’t already have a Kramer on its way to me I’d be buying this today !!!! 🤟
Nice. Not a direct note for note Van Halen show off but Mike just doing his thing and showing the influence (with some direct riffage)
Wow...thanks lemmo... that guitar was my first metal guitar ..owned it in the early ninety's...
I've never heard anyone say anything bad about Kramer. Especially the old ones.
This thing is so deadly!
Only thing missing is Alex on the drum kit !!!!!!! E.V.H. FOREVER !!!!!!!!!
I wish they would do more Kramer’s and Charvels and even some Fernandez models would be cool
awesome love this Kramer! 🤘🎸🤘 Seems like Lemmo should really own this one cuz that was rad
i had one in black , wish i still had it
4:43 what riff is that?
Full Bug
That was 🔥🔥🔥🔥Lemmo ! Thanks Jen ! 😎🎸🎶👍
They were great guitars for sure I regret parting with my old Kramers.
Awesome Kramer! I don't think we have seen one of these before but if I'm wrong who cares! Sounds awesome! However! Gotta do a Maton!
I played a slightly modified one at a guitar store once. Very good guitar
Lemmo is a fucking magician !!! Great playing and great video !! - greetings from Germany
What's a rough price on the focus 1000... I owned one in 86
lemmo time !!
It's got that sound. Miss mine for sure
I have a focus 4000 from 86 the sound is beastly definetly a sleeper
Used to see these in pawn shops in the '90s for less than a hundred bucks should have bought one
I sold mine a few months ago had the same one with Seymour Duncan jb in it
Whats the song that he is playing at 3:18
Sounds like a variation of “Romeos Delight”.
Somehow, Lemmo can take a banjo and make it sound like EVH😆
The Focus Kramer's are far from a banjo, people didn't realize how good these were back in the day, and because they were cheaper people assumed they must be crap right? WRONG! Gee...are you guys a couple?
@@rockhead69 A couple of knuckleheads? Just kidding.
thanks for popping the Shredder 🍒
Rock on Lemmo 🤘 🎸
Hell, I can do all that on my acoustic...when I'm sitting in on a peyote ceremony at the Navaho Nation...🦎🦂🌵
Kramer’s are back 2021
This was an insanely sweet episode
This axe is the real deal 🎸😁
6:21 quintessential EVH 🖤
Themes list play ??
I have 1986 Kramer F6000 in Floppy Pink
Kramer Thursday??? Dang!! It's sweet after the 80s Charvel!!!
Let's not forget EVH was a secret partner of Kramer for years
I had one back in the day just like it. Also had the stryker which was plywood..lol.

What OD pedal do you use? I've always been wondering. Love the vids
kramer guitars for ever
I had a black one when i was a kid
Lemmo did not disappoint.

Man you are a master guitar player.
Dayyyy-am Lemo!
A I guess you just jam a little harder than you use too! I always liked the locking tuners. big in the eighties. it would of been cool as hell if David Lee showed up behind the couch with a mic and started singing on Panama😎
Fantastic!
Price?
Крутой Крамер!
He can probably make any electric guitar sound good
Killer demo!
Love the guitar, love Lemmo, but I could be his grandfather (as old as Norm) so the style isn’t my favorite but he certainly killed Panama
That's a sweet sounding guitar, fuck yeah
Looks good to me....🍁
Killer demo, Eddie would be proud!
6:08 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Yes! Let's turn and burn! 🔥👍
Wow, enough good tricks there to open a circus (or a bordello, depending on your penchant).
Yes, just yes
Wow
That was my first guitar. Left handed.
Yes! now that's my kind of GOTD. That thing screams.
I have one
More Kramer and Hamer please
As mark agnesi would say, that thing honks
Impressive
I have one in lime green.
