"Iron monkey gate" kung-fu Applications (Tit Hau Moon) 鐵猴門

Here a small part of the applications we can do with the Iron monkey style 鐵猴門. In first, the moves without opponent, and in the second part, the applications. The "Iron monkey Gate" is born in Hubei province china, and it is a very secret style, pasted down master to disciple for century. The monkey style is very famous on the kung fu world, using by a lot of kung fu movies from Hong Kong, but few are really applicable.

Great Show. The word "gate" is a literal translation, but missed the point. 門 = door. It implies what is inside is a separate entity. The more appropriate translation should be an independent and separate branch of a style, i.e., 鐵猴門 of Shaolin. Or simply call it Iron Monkey style.

Very sweet. Thank you for the many years of sacrifice and hard work you invested to keep the Monkey style alive. I remember some sixty years ago, when their were only two people truly qualified to continue the tradition. After all is said and done with their training. I encourage my own students to find a style, within our system, which is suitable for both their body type, and their character. Thank you for sharing. Wishing you success carrying this tradition forward.

Real monkey kungfu shown here. To many other videos on you tube just show gymnastics and people mimicking monkeys. I suggest you send this video to Shaolin temple so China could get back a lot of kungfu it lost during the cultural revolution.
