Love, love, love Boz Scaggs. Such a soothing, beautiful voice and listening to his songs take me back to my 15 year old 1978 self playing my favorite cassette tape Silk Degrees over and over and over….Saw him in person in New Orleans several decades ago and hope to have the opportunity to hear him again in person before I leave this earth. Until then, I will listen to him on youtube every night to relax before going off to sleep. 😊
Boz's uniquely characteristic singing voice comes naturally; some younger singers try to "create" something like this but it just comes off as so much affectation.
Just saw Boz at the Rochester Jazz Festival in June. Beautiful voice and soul. Loving the fact that during this song he holds his hands in the way long taught by voice teachers.
I have watched Boz Scaggs since the early Steve Miller albums. Silk Degrees...come on that was a hit explosion. He also serves fabulous food at his restaurant. Do not underestimate BOZ. EVER.
This guy is an underrated genius with impeccable timing and rhythm. HOF is a bunch of crap. One day everyone will be in bc they're running out of candidates. It's a ridiculous insult to musicians anywhere.
write songs that make you smile and cry, wishing on forever. Have seen Boz so many times - back to 1972. Had this DVD - but the Urban gypsy/peregrine/itinerent fool lost it. And that is a real loss. Can't find it., and that's the sad double truth, Ruth.
Bring back memories, the girl that we share our dreams, plans, to have our own family, because her family disagree with me, she was brought to the U.S. since that time we have no communication
I just love Boz Scaggs! And there is only one Boz. Have seen him live more than ten times and he just keeps getting better with age! God Bless you Boz!

They don’t make songs like this anymore. It ain’t all about coming out on top and tagging that booty. Sometimes everything falls apart and all you can do is watch and regret
@@lymarie1974 It was a surprise to me, too. Technically, it was written by Bobby Caldwell, Dennis Matkosky and Jason Scheff. _Bobby Caldwell is often credited as one of the co-writers of the song "Heart of Mine." The song was originally performed by Boz Scaggs and released on his album "Silk Degrees" in 1976. While Scaggs is the primary artist associated with the song, Caldwell collaborated with him and David Foster in writing it. Caldwell's contributions likely involved writing lyrics, melody, or both, though the specific extent of his involvement may vary depending on different accounts._
Back in middle school in the 70's this one guy constantly made fun of my voice, which coincidently sounded like Boz's singing voice only a little more nasally. This one guy made made me a BOZ fan for life as Boz is cool. Great song too.
So, okay, here's the deal: my obsession with Bobby Caldwell's signature song, "What You Won't Do For Love," has been peaking lately, so I figured that I'd finally check out his version of this tune, which he wrote, of course. And, I'm going to be honest, I was fully expecting Caldwell's version to come out on top. Look, I love Scaggs - Boz, that is; Ricky, not so much - but if you ask me, "...Do For Love" is blue eyed soul's high water mark, and clearly presents Caldwell as the more facile vocalist, between the two. But, not on your life, as it turns out; Scaggs OWNS this song now. In any version I've checked out, live or studio, Boz inhabits the song in a manner which Caldwell, ironically, can't touch. And, honestly, neither singer truly sounds black on this song. P.S. Caldwell's love of slick, cheesy keyboard patches becomes a major hurdle, the more I dig in to his music His greatest tune is an aberration, I'm learning - sadly, in many ways, a glorious peak he never reached again, vocally or in terms of production. But "What You Won't Do For Love" is just a Herculean accomplishment in its mode. I love that song more than I can express!
Beautiful Soulful Voice.
God Bless 💗🙏
Whether Bobby Caldwell who wrote the song, or Boz Scaggs, both singers renditions reach deep inside the heart ❤
One of Boz's finest.

He has the perfect voice for ballards.
If you can't understand the beauty in this pain...for lack words it's sad for you. This song is a sounding board for countless broken hearts.

One of the best voices out there. Conjures up silk sheets and honey.
Such a beautiful classic then and now ♥️🎶
Absolutely beautiful! What a great song !

Boz Scaggs still sounds great.
Sure does!
What a beautiful music venue! With such close intimate seating, especially on the floor.
Perfect for a filmed live concert.

It’s a disgrace Boz isn’t in the hall of fame. Nine inch nails was inducted??? Words fail me… the garbage they allow in. To me it’s useless
Beautiful song. What a talent.
The perfection within this song, is what stops my ❤️
Don't do THAT...it IS great, though....ain't it?
This concert is on you tube. It's from 2004 and is fabulous.
Very talented & beautiful ladies singing in the background 🎼🎶🎙
If this is a jazz song, i'm in heaven then 🤩😍😎😍
I always loved Boz so much… so many songs and I just found out she shares the same birthday as my son…. No wonder… this all makes so much sense !!! 🙏🏻
Music takes us to a place we never hoped to find..... Words and lyrics take us away...Thank you....

Classic and great song❤️
Luv you Boz!💕
And you'll never understand the reasons why. Heart of mine, oh heart of mine.
Golden voice.

"Then you'll always be the one she left behind"

i am having my daily Boz fix
Me to.
Loved and lost 💔
Boz not in the Rock & Roll HOF...Criminal...
Should be.
I wish we could get him there!!!!
Boz not in - Ringo Starr is. That is a 1st-degree felony.
Box voice quality and melody ...amazing...classic only genius in music can do this ..
I totally agree. The day after Steve Miller got in the HOF he wrote a public notice calling the HOF committee a bunch of frauds for Boz not being in
This type of music brings back fun memories
My man loves this man 💞
Wait....what? Oh....I get it. How's married life treating you? Recently, right? Or, of course, I could be totally off my rocker....
Thank you for the upload! He is a legend. He sings it like how he recorded it.
When you wonder why??? True to my heart. They have no idea...

I love this song 💕

"Heart Of Mine"
One day
I may
Find true love that will last forever
And ever
Till then
I'll spend
A lifetime of wishing us together
I never thought she'd say goodbye
And I'll never understand
The reasons why
Heart of mine
How will you keep from dying
Stop reminiscing
Who is she kissing
Heart of mine
Oh what's the use in trying
No one can mend you now
Love plays
Cruel games
I can't believe she's found another
To love her
Does she
Miss me
Sometimes I just can't help but wonder
If I could stop the hands of time
Then I'd know she'd always be
Forever mine
Heart of mine
How will you keep from dying
Stop reminiscing
Who is she kissing
Heart of mine
Oh what's the the use in trying
No one can mend you now
love Box Scaggs.
Magnifique

Or no regret.
Any song that has a call bell in it is a hit.

Cow bell.

Bobby Caldwell (writer of this song) passed away March 14, 2023 at the age of 71.
