fantastic video. I wish there were videos like this for other combat patrols too. this was really helpful, thank you! a lot of other tutorials just read out the rules and expect new players to know when to use what and how to go about playing in general. so again, thank you!
I swear I've looking for this past week to find something exactly like this video and I thank you from the bottom of my newbie elven heart for all this insight
@@WBConcilioI really like aspect warriors ... which ones are best to invest in first? I was thinking some rangers to start out and hopefully that scorpion box will come out in the mean time.
This video really made me more interested in actually trying out the combat patrol in this incarnation. I like the more specific limitations in choice and having to work with that. They did give us a decent load out too for a flexible and dynamic force.
I have watched this 3 times now just to try and help retain the information thank you for this. My only big criticism is please put pauses in between concepts cause I had to rewind alot when you start talking about something new. I haven't played since I was a kid and a friend just git me back into it and got my first combat patrol of space elves and this has been so helpful.
Just joined the Craftworld and got my turquoise mesh, and I gotta say this is a super helpful guide! Can't wait to make the Matriarchs proud! (OOC: I just bought this box and I'm going Iybraesil)
Really great, informative video on some of the tactics to use in such a small scale game! I think if you had shown things on screen like the stratagems or abilities like Fortune while talking about them would have elevated the video a bit more, but I'll definitely be giving this video another listen
I just found your channel and am really enjoying the tactical input. I've now played a few Combat Patrol games and want to increase it to 1000 points soon. Could you imagine making a video about 1000 points Eldar Craftworld list? Maybe even two? A competitive one and a more narrative one? Thank you!
Large 40K games are not appealing for me, but skirmish games like Combat Patrol sound awesome. Are the data card info provided in the Combat Patrol box?
There was a pretty major rules goof in the first version - Brent took it down, re-recorded, and reposted it to avoid leading anyone down the wrong path.
its so unappealing as a new player, I dont care for the bikes, and the wraithlord is cool, but I wanted at least one aspect warrior like howling banshees in nit
@sameerdodger You still need to spend the money to get started so it really doesn't matter if it is redundant or not. It is still a cost that you will have to pay to get started.
I’ve heard players aren’t so anal that you have your army perfectly dripped out. That I just have the models and at least glue them together if need be is probably enough right? Especially for combat patrol?
I was THAT guy on my first play last weekend. TAKE THE OBJECTIVE! Lose half my army on the 1st round... Concede defeat on the 2nd... If only i watched this first🥲

My pleasure! There is a general video about how to approach play Eldar dropping on Saturday:)
I think Combat Patrol format would make a really good Tournament setting, it means less reliance on the 'meta' and popular lists.
I agree! It feels like a good middle ground between kill teams and a full 2k game

My great pleasure! Feel free to use the contact info on my website if you want other newbie questions answered

@@keyanklupacs6333 I suggest Warp Spiders or Shadow Spectres

Nice I was waiting for this video to come back out.
Thanks for uploading!!
Sweet! Only have gotten to play combat patrol twice so this video is welcome!

They aren't, but you can easily find them and download them for free
Quality as always
Cool but then from this box what am I going to use? The farseer? What else?
The bikes are good. Guardians are not useless. Wraithlord is narrative only
Hasn’t this video been out last week and disappeared a day later??

It costs more than 150 US Dollars to get started. You still need glue, paint, paint brushes, flush cutters and so on.
Well you need those things for literally anything GW related so this comment is pretty redundant

I just started with a combat patrol two days ago and after I got everything I needed to get it was 290 dollars.
