Song Joong Ki I think you do have to realise that their careers differs in that by starting at 13, Boa had fans who really grew up with her. She was also a very rare young female solo which made her stand out so much more than anyone who cane after her. It was a much more simpler and innocent time, as past generations always are in comparison to the current. What it means to be a fan has changed a lot in the last ten years especially with the rise of the internet where music is everywhere and fandoms are easily accessible. Music was much less mass produced too.

I was a kid living in Sweden, watching anime once in a while. Then I started watching Inuyasha, and when the episode was over, I noticed they changed the ending song. I fell in love with it almost immediately so I had to figure out who the singer was. Hikaru Utada and BoA were THE artists to listen to back then. Those were the good days! I didn't worry about anything, and I just loved life for a few years. 2002-2006 were truly my favorite years. Even when bad things happened, I could just brush it off. BoA was part of that, so she has a special place in my heart.
