The conversions look great, but the mk6 marines look like ass because the guns and shoulder just morph into one blob. I can understand loss of detail at that scale, but they needed to make the guns a seperate piece.
I do think it's almost unfair to show these models so close up without also showing them at tabletop distance, where they would read even better
No it's fair as I know Pico armor makes insanely highly detailed 3mm models so why can't GW make high detailed 6mm ones? Also who does pick up models to look at them?

The 'detail' is one of the main bragging points. It is for all of GW's stuff. If you are going to brag about your detail work, you should be prepared for people to focus on the details.
@135forte again... I didn't say don't show the detail... I said also show the tabletop distance. The shields for instance, I'd love to see how they read from above/across a gaming table.
@@chitzkoi It's 8mm. You won't be able to pick out any details from 3-4' away. If you don't believe me, print an 8mm picture of a space marine and put it on the other side of the table and try to pick out details.

Ive seen an AT Imperator kitbashed using a 40k scale Questoris knight. PTW could easily use a Knight and some more parts to create Abominatuc

Great work at this scale! I'd love to see more Legions Imperialis content, whether on infantry, vehicles, or the larger Knights and Titans. I'm still undecided on what Astartes Legion(s) I'd want to paint up, so seeing your take on a few more would be a big help.

The guys using the shields with the right peeking sides seem vestigial since theyre wearing them at the right arm.
Outstanding amount of detail considering the pieces you were working with were so small.

Honestly, i just can't stand how they look painted. Pete is an amazing painter and yet the smashed together, fuzziness of the of the models make his paint jobs look like someone who literally just started painting and put their paint on too thick. I do love the smaller war hound titan though, it's still big enough to be very detailed.

0:12 I have kitbashed a few scales of models including 15mm and 3mm it very much can be done as I a noob have done it.
i'm hoping to work something out for the solar auxilia infantry.
The imperial army has a wide amount of variation in the books and only being able to make the knight looking guys is kinda annoying. I'm hoping to make their helmets into gas masks or something to get a feel for the 30k tallarn look

I hope they bring epic scale to 40k, I don't care about the HH at all but I love the tiny scale, so much more convenient for transportation/setting up a game on the dinner table.
Did you come across any misprints/dodgy prints like ones (one?) that did the rounds last week? I figured that was probably just a test/early print that had gone wrong and the regular borons had jumped on it for content, rather than it being indicative of the general quality.

I for one don't like the absolutely minute miniatures of this kind of kits, mayhaps it's my deteriating vision, but i actually want to hold my mini's in hand and be able to see the details i've painted on them, i want substance when i hold my ninis in hand. Likewise i want a bit of substance when i see them on the board. That said, i don't like the McFarlane toys either, they don't shout "Wargaming" when i look at them. I understand that this opinion may not be reflected in all, nor indeed the majority of hobbyists, perhaps. It's simply my thoughts.
The tiny scale is mostly so you can play games with titans and hundreds of models on the field without being about ten thousand dollars per army. I'd have much preferred they just make a 6mm scale game that allowed every army to have a place rather than being just another Space Marine Power Hour like we don't have too many of those already.
