When it rains, it pours! I hope the coming weeks calm down a bit for you and your husband. I appreciate hearing about your progress with battling perfectionism. I've never thought of myself in that way, but as a fellow INFJ, I do feel like I share in a lot of the things you've identified (I especially hold things over myself when they don't go well and I COULD'VE MAYBE POSSIBLY done something to get a better outcome).
Thanks, friend! Yeah it has been a lifelong journey to overcome some of these deeply rooted mindsets and tendencies. Even though I backslid a bit, I'm still so grateful that this year I'm finally seeing more progress and relief than I have before; the work is finally producing more noticeable fruit. I'm sorry you also struggling with being too hard on yourself. 💜 I want to eventually create some more helpful content about perfectionism as I myself am learning, so let me know if there's a specific topic under that that would be helpful to you! 🙂
@@TheReelAnna Well even if you did have some backsliding...your goal was to "Make Mistakes" ;) But on a serious note, I am glad that you feel like your efforts are slowly improving your mindset! I will do some brainstorming on that front and try to think if there are any specific things that would be interesting to dig into! In regards to "perfectionism" or "being too hard on myself," my mom always says "You are your own worst enemy." It's not much more than a simple statement, but I try to remember it when I have those moments and think "How can I NOT be my own enemy in this situation." I still have a lot of room to grow though.
