nairobi's restaurant industry issue is that it prioritizes aesthetic and instagrammability lol. the expensive food always lacks and you end up paying for premium mediocrity
Barista and Co. is one of Nairobi's best restaurants IMO. That Blueberry kiss drink is perfection, and every dish I've had there has slapped. The one thing that can be considered a flaw (but idk if this has changed) is that the location in Riverside didn't have WiFi but other than that, it's a great place to eat at imo for an affordable price.
It's the worst when the food looks good but doesn't taste like anything. Like y'all put all this effort into the presentation and didn't even season it well? 🤔🤣
The only place i have been to is Nairobi street kitchen i have forgotten the name of the place we ate but i got a chicken burger with fries it was good like a 7 out of 10. My favorite restaurant though is Urban Eatery in Westlands its in the same compound as the nyama mama restaurant in Westlands. Every time i get a chance that's where i go eat they never disappoint. I do not really know how their vegan food tastes though.
@S M really there is normally a menu that's divided into like big portion and small portion so i always get food from the big portion section which is a lot of food
@S M you do not need to be defensive fam I was just informing you so maybe next time you can go order from the big portion section cause that's the only section i order from n the portions are pretty decent .
@S M oh ok no problemo if you ever go back try the surf and Turf its part of the big portion menu. The surf n turf has two large prawns, one beef steak, then it comes with a sauce you can choose any sauce w, with vegetables and you can choose any side i always choose the potato wedges
Those restaurants are all over IG because of the aesthetics and I guess price point since people love expensive places lol But I would never pay any coin to eat at Mercado especially, or social house again 🤢 Glad you tried Talisman, it has really good food. I’ve heard Boho eatery’s also good, but the menu was too vegan for me to bother trying lol. If you like Indian - open house, red ginger
Ps sushi and shashimi originality and traditionally by hands the chopstick is something that was given to western to try use a they dont like to eat food with their hands
I doubt it’s a good idea to taste vegan meals as Kenya is a meat loving nation. Get someone to go with you so you have vegan and they have something most people go to restaurants to eat which is more than likely meat fish etc. Just a thought
Love your vlogs. The music and aesthetic💗
yes please!!! love the consistency!!
You’re literally my favorite youtuber. Hope to meet you one day❤️

Most Nairobi restaurants really don’t know how to season vegetarian & especially vegan food 😫

Not it's giving bland, I'm cackling😂😂😂
Cheymuv, did you eat all day in a day?
Talisman is my favorite restaurant. I was gonna comment that you didn’t try the feta and coriander samosas but you’re vegan 😭
Love from Uganda ❤
Kwani niko nchi Ingine
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂probably
Not cheyenne making me want to move to Kenya. I'm South African btw
I think its cause your vegan, most kenyan restaurants haven't really specialized or perfected cooking or rather making vegan food.
Definitely going to try one restaurant
was dying to see the fit from the restaurant before last 😍🤌🏿
Just a question
Did you eat all that in one day 😳😅
