From your match at combo breaker it seems Ermac's normal cancel is an online only move, you got punished every time you used it. You had to use ex-cancel for pressure and mix-ups. I had high hopes for Ermac but his normal cancel is fake and you have to spam it full screen for bar then go in with ex-cancel which defeats the purpose of a having it for rushdown
The issue is doing a 2 hitting string into the cancel every time. For better results you have to learn how to cancel right after a F2, S2, B2, S3, or S4 to really throw them off. Another aspect is that you shouldn't always forward dash out of the cancels. That's a lot of Ermac players issue. His B24 and S2 is great after back dashing out of the cancel pressure. But yeah, you're not wrong. If you're only canceling after 12, 21, and B24 then it's fake because it's easier to react to. Same with F4 or 42 into float. Every Ermac player is consistently doing those buttons into float and becoming too predictable. I like to throw the ground pound in there from time to time to mix up my opponent. Got 2 bars? Spend it, it'll make them think twice about blocking high for the float cancel.
When I play ranked with my Ermac -Janet team, I get poked so much it’s ridiculous. I’m barley in grand master rank too… people totally freeze up when you consistently spam pressure how sonic is doing in his corner carry combos. The way he ends in the float cancel so the opponent is forced to make a decision off of a knockdown. It looks pretty dirty and I gotta patent these moves haha
I wish the ninja would have just stayed ninja, like ermac, noob, tremor, the only ones that stayed true I feel like were zero and scorpion, but I think it'd be Kool to have them as the original ninja and base their skills and attacks off being a ninja, or maybe I'm just bitchin.🤣🤣🤣
