To new beginnings. Birthday was on 12/11, and have been reflecting this whole month on the year. A lot of progress and a lot of truth revealed, highest highs and not too many low lows, at least not as many as before lol. In the words of RuPaul, "if you can't love your self, how the heck are you going to love someone else?!" I finally truly understand what that means truly. Letting go of high expectations (societal and my own), unrealistic goals (I've pretty much met the main goals I've been working on for the last decade, so it's okay to relax and just be), and really finally ready to get to know myself. And not just learn to like me but love me. I haven't really liked myself for the last 20 years at least, and when the distractions (positive and negative) finally stopped, I couldn't stand being alone with me and myself fully. Now, I think I may finally be ready, healed enough not nearly fully but enough, and open to really loving me, knowing it will take some time. But I'm a good person with lots of good to give and I am starting to believe that.
