    yeah it takes years to become good auto tech but you will still get paid less than the other trades.

    but when you start out in the electrical union you get free training and tools for 5 years and working and getting paid with raises. also your not expected to run around like in flat rate so you can learn and work at a good pace. you get better benefits and pension. once your in your good. then when your a journeyman you get real good pay . the automotive industry today just sucks.
