Just found your channel . Enjoying your videos so far . I remember the old Big Apple . I remember watching them bring a boat right up front and they would bring supplies in right up the front steps . Excited to be able to head back to the Philippines soon !

This place is so beautiful. I am thinking of staying here the next time I visit Puerto Galera. However I am also considering El Galleon Resort. By the way, have you been to El Galleon Resort as well? Would like to know your opinion because you seem to know a lot about Puerto Galera. I binge watched your Puerto Galera playlist. Thank you and more power to your channel.
Hi. Thanks. I don’t know El Galleon at all. If you have a bit of time you could always try both for short stays and decide. The old Big Apple drew me to it like a moth to a flame back in 2017. Since my move in 2019, Many of my friends in Manila always use big Apple and I’ve since got to know the owner. So, its got a regular crowd and always easy to make friends. It was my first time seeing the rebuild and other than my slight bias, there was really little else open at the time. The area should be coming back to life now though.

I am not so sure about this new setup. I like the old beach front for the view, breeze and watching the freaks n geeks roll by. N loved the pool to relax n nurse my hangover. It was so zen.
Mashing the two together loses the best qualities of each?
I'll give it a whirl tho when out there next. Many fond memories of the big apple and wish them the best...
I have lots of great memories of the first Big Apple. The new one is excellent and has a great vibe. Same same but different 😄

That was a really good bar
With a private boat from Batangas, could get there in under 3 hours from Manila. Half the time than it took for La Union and no covid test. Big Apple did all the work in getting QR codes and tourist pass.

Nice video Lady! Maybe you should venture out to the Bikini Bar and see how they get you there, the view from the ocean and if it's stable and not too wavy. The restaurant at night looked pretty good. Lastly, do a video of your workout at the gym, maybe sparring with the Champion. Stay safe
Will get out to the floating bar next time. We only had a few days there and squeezed in island hopping, trekking, and a few other things. Meant to get to the gym as well, but maybe next time.
There used to be a small boat that was just out the front of the old Big Apple Bar area that would take you out to the Bikini Bar. I’ve been out there a couple of times. 👍🏼🍺🍺

Damn Covid has ruined my annual adventures over to the Big Apple Dive Resort.
The kitchen is now where the all scuba gear was. 😲
I hope those big concrete blocks are only temporary as it would be a shame if there was no more beach access 😲😔
Can’t wait to get back and see all the staff and scuba instructors again.

There is a lot of development going on along the sea front. It should look very different in a few months.

Big Apple! Typical Filipino custom naming places after US names! Our colonial mentality in display always!
British and Filipino owners. I know the owners. I’ll ask why they named it that. But big Apple is New York. Named after York in England. Previously it was called new Amsterdam. After the capital in Holland 🇳🇱. Nothing is original in America.
