I simply love Stratovarius. One reason is that Jens is one of my favorite keyboard players, but there is also something so uplifting with this "happy" power metal. 🙂

in these horrible times, we need something happy to lean on, metalheads are also living beings, we are all hardcore tough and etc, but on the inside we are fragile and emotional, even if we hide it behind *kevlar skin *

It's so funny that Sonata is with them and Jani plays bass for Strato :D

Sonata is cool and all, but Strato is in a different level. Thanks for both shares!

Your welcome. I like them better than Sonata too and also have a better setlist.

They used to be cool, now Tony barely sings any high notes and most of their new songs sound like kindergarten jams.
Stratovarius tries hard to still be amazing despite their aging.

Matias is a beast on guitar and he saved Stratovarius after Tolkki's departure, but I always wonder how amazing would be if Jani were who replaced Tolkki.

I have followed Jani's work for over 10 years and consider him an incredible guitarist and my favorite songwriter.
The work done in Stratovarius since Nemesis is amazing, basically he is the sixth member (under the shadows)
I really enjoy each new project he launches, each one has its own identity and I feel that the best thing for him is the work he does alone is the best
But it would certainly be interesting to see him behind the guitars in Strato

I would wonder how amazing would be the sound of Stratovarius with two guitarrists sharing lead and rythm guitar. In my opinion, Strato sound now is much cleaner than in the past but in several songs sound is quite "empty" and some new songs have huge differences in between lead and rythm...it would be much more benefitial for the overall performance two guitarrists, sometimes. Jani and Matias tandem would be a great team. It's true that they would have to add 1 guy to the shared benefits of the band, but I think it would let the band to explore a more "complete" live sound.
