Interesting construction! Dual-movement from a single motor, very creative.

Much better! I always wondered why people make these look to the side when they go down instead of looking down at the cauldron. Makes more sense to me that it would look to the side when it's up and look forward when it's down. I'm picky though lol. I used a separate motor to power the head on mine so it does just a random up/down and gravity opens and closes the mouth.

Oak Lane Cemetery I’ve seen your creep and it’s great. I actually realized I had messed up when I ran the head with the cauldron motor. I had connected the arms to the moving torso instead of fixing the arms. I’ve straightened that out now and now can turn attention to cauldron. I’ll post a video once it’s complete.

Is there a weight on the arm??

Jim Gosselin No weight. Arm at top of stick is firmly fixed to shoulder. Other arm is marionette. I will post a video of the finished prop this week.

Just a little tip. If you put the horizontal bar which rotates the head from side to side on the apposite side of the rib frame, then when the head swings down it will rotate as if looking into the caldron, and when it looks up, it will look to the side, as if looking at passersby.
