This season MI has batting till 8 with Rohit, Ishan, SKY, Tilak and Hardik in good to great form, they still play Shepherd whose unlikely to bat in most matches and would give 20-36 from 2 overs
Nabi is only bowled 1/2 overs in most matches despite being economical
They have a player like Thushara on the bench who they were hyping to be the most impactful bowler
You talk about their flaws because there are flaws whether they were last the season before or they were defending champs

A happy realization Mr Bhogle. The much talked about teams, where RR's win aren't their wins but more of RCB or MI or other opponents' loss, RR aren't doing bad. As a RR fan this does steal a lot of joy from the wise observations.

There are so many conversations going around team selection for the T20 world cup, I personally think, we've seen enough of the Sharma's and Kholi's, DK's since the last 15 years, they've had their chances, we've seen the best of them, we've seen them doing great unimaginable things for the team and the sport. We are extremely proud of what they've done for the country. It would be too greedy of us to expect more from them. May be it's time we look into the future and see what the young exciting, promising talent like the Ashutoush's, Dubey's , Parag's , Abhishek's and Mayank's have to offer. I might get a lot of hate for this comment, many might say " In big tournaments experience matters etc...... " but the way game the shorter form of the game has evolved just in the last couple of months in terms of the ability of these new age players to instantly switch their gameplay, their mindsets, their approach, their ability to play fearless cricket, is all is what is needed to win big going forward.
When these so called cricketers are greedy ,stating it's dream and all that how do we even expect fiery youngsters will play.
I'm loving this pods ever since Gilly's addition.

Thanks Harsha for pointing that wide call decision from third umpire absolutely it’s favouring MI. While MI batting 3rd umpire clearly mentioned batsman moved still given wide and when its comes to PK that’s also 19th over its leg side not given wide mentioning batsman moved. Wow and it’s looks like match fixed to make MI favour. And mostly favouring HARDIK because if u see the bowling performance of hardik Panjab players not taking any risk against him he was not bowling well if look at his overs but still they are not played good shots against him. And I am wondering that why rabada not diving to complete second run which cost run out even though he knows this is their last wicket. Keeping the toss controversy MI VS RCB match and umpiring decisions.

MI bowling is so bad. I don’t they have an option. They can’t persist with Madhwal and Shepherd bowling 6 out of 20 overs. If Nabi is never going to bowl, then it’s an overseas slot wasted. Thushara has to play. Play Nehal Wadhera, who did well last year, as the batsman. They got so incredibly lucky that Coertze and Hardik had decent days with the ball. They were only about one big hit away from a loss. Right now I feel sorry for Bumrah. He has to basically deliver every ball, every over, at any scenario in the match. Ashutosh was incredible. Really reminded me of SKY. He and Shashank are the finds of the tournament in my eyes.

I don't understand what management is doing with such legends in their dugout, this particular pitch was not a belter and Nabi could easily give 2/3 overs, if Livingston and Brar bowled so well in this Deck Nabi definitely Can. I guess Madhwal looks so horrible because of the strategy they wanted to be executed from him. He delivered some good spell last year.
