This has been one of my favorite documentaries for years now. It combines so many of my favorite subjects: archaeology, history, folklore, forensics, biology, horror...

I love it, ❤️ I actually write as a Vampire so I was so intrigued when I came across I forwarded it to my co-writer.
Vampire lore is one of my favorite subjects.
However I have thought about this for a long time now.
I think what could have happened is: there were times when we didn't have the knowledge we do now.
That a person can be trough injury, war, having a CVA or heart attack. Woke up burried alive, They were simply buried too soon
What I found really remarkable is how well the teeth are preserved on the skeletons with the stones.

What about good old fashioned hatred for your enemies? It takes a different kind of human to kill somebody with a bit of sharp metal, post mortem desecration of a corpse seems pretty reasonable during these times.

How do you know the stones were placed there after their death? And might the stones have been placed there to keep them from biting if they were afraid the person was a vampire? Just a thought very interesting

I didn't see actual long canine teeth as seen in vampire movies. Maybe they were criminals, rapists, murderers, or maybe they were just the poorest of the poorest people who were seen seen as useless to society? One can only wonder and will probably never know the real truth, instead of speculation and assumptions. ?

Throughout Europe these have been found, particularly in the areas of Bulgaria, and draw a circle around this geographic area to France.
*We are missing records of History in what's called the Dark Ages, particularly in Britain, and I am now convinced it was intentional and done somewhere around Cromwell, Henry VIII, to Victoria, and I suspect also in the Roman History around Constatine or right after. I am considering the Catholic Church/Pope was also an influence but not at all independent in this as many would assume/accuse.
My hypothesis is that it stemmed from an Anglo Saxon influence, and/or a collective of Germanic Influence. (Britain has the more original Males disappearing @ 98%, and this means Adult and Child Males. They were either victims of the Blade and/or sold into Slavery, an ethnic cleansing of Britain. This can be found in the DNA studies specific to Britain.
The subject is noticeable in its absence of followup and seemingly lack of interest.
