I never thought Id see a day when this channel does a Medabots remix. A remix of the Medabot battle theme is almost oddly appropriate considering the mobile game(exclusive to Japan) had a crossover with X earlier this year.
Maverick: Kabutorai Weapon: Katana slash, hardened perry, mirage charge, boomerang multishot, teleport Stage: Transitory, Doppler’s Laboratory Description: Kabutorai is a reploid member of the Doppler Army’s Nightmare Police. Taking the appearance of a Japanese samurai, Kabutorai (as his name suggests) wears heavy armor equipped with boomerang armaments and teleportation implants, complete with a kabuto helm and wields a laser katana sword that he also can perry X’s buster shots. In fact, he was once a member of the Maverick Hunters’ 14th Elite Unit having his skills rivaled that of Zero’s and displays strong honor in fighting. But he perished in a battle that occurred between MMX2 and MMX3. Upon being revived by Dr. Doppler, Kabutorai sided with him out of honor, offering his service to the Nightmare Police in return. (Boss encounter in one of the eight stages) Kabutorai: Long time no see, X. X: Kabutorai?! But..h-how?! Kabutorai: Surprised, I see. Perhaps you know what happened to my fate. The one who is named Doppler has revived me. Because of this, my honor has been restored alongside my return. X: But you’ve perished, Kabutorai. HQ has confirmed your status in the report. Kabutorai: They did, yes. But ever since Doppler restored me, I have been given a new life. A new meaning for me to continue fighting…under the Doppler Army’s Nightmare Police. X: What?! Kabutorai: This is the new path I shall walk on, X. Make no mistake, I have grown stronger than what I once was. Allow me to demonstrate. (Kabutorai defeated) Kabutorai: Well fought…X. You have been proven worthy to be an equal match to me when it comes to fighting. X: Kabutorai, please….listen to me. You can walk away from this and rejoin the Maverick Hunters. Kabutorai: No. I’ve pledged my service to Doppler for this. To side with the hunters would be dishonorable to my new code. Now we’d part ways. Until you are ready. X: Kabutorai! (Kabutorai teleports out) (Boss encounter in Doppler’s Laboratory) X: Kabutorai! Kabutorai: So…it all comes down to this. Fighting you would be the most honorable duty for me to take. X: We don’t have to fight, Kabutorai. You were part of our unit, remember? Kabutorai: That was just the past, X. Especially coming from someone who is part of my past self. Someone like you…that which I shall destroy. X: That is not the Kabutorai that I know. The reploid I remembered puts honor above anything else and fights with honor. The one I see now has a twisted sense of honor as an excuse to serve Dr. Doppler who also serves Sigma himself! In other words, you are already a maverick yourself! Kabutorai: Do not criticize my code! I followed my honor and place, X. You have no following, only mindlessly fighting for nothing. X: …. …. Kabutorai: This is the time you shall make a choice. Preserve our honor by joining the Doppler Army, or perish. (Kabutorai defeated) Kabutorai: I guess…I am indeed more dishonorable than I once was. X: Don’t say that, Kabutorai. You can keep your honor by doing what is right…to stop Sigma. Kabutorai: And that means…by destroying the one whom I’d served…? X: Dr. Doppler is just a puppet. Sigma’s puppet. He is using him for his own ends. Kabutorai: Hmm…I agree, X. It is time to put honor aside and stop this madness. But there is one last thing I must do. X: What? Kabutorai: Here is the password to his lab. Code is G77JR2. The door beyond will lead you to Dr. Doppler’s main lab. He will be expecting you. But know this, X. He will not go down after a fight. This…Sigma must be severed from him. Now go! My time has come…to join my comrades once again. X: Rest well with honor, Kabutorai. (Kabutorai dies)
It's the main battle theme to the Medabots games well most of them as later games dumped it for original music. This is just the X3 soundfont used to remix it.
