The humans are those who put the dog at risk This is why potential pet owners should be made to pass test and the breeders or shelters which provide those pets should investigate those potential pet owners to see if they are fit to have pets. French BD are very easily prone to drowning because just like pugs, when water gets into their breathing system it can very quickly lead to asphyxiation, which is why even washing them is dangerous and must be done by professinals or people who learned how to take care of those types of dogs. Second, nobody with a pool like this which makes it impossible for the dog or cat but especially a French BD to come out of, means certain death if a human is not around. So these two people here should have that dog taken away from them and just feel shame for being such irresponsible pet owners instead of finding it funny and putting it on youtube. But i am a vet and i copied that video and i am going to to find who these people are and then have their dog taken away from them for irresponsibility and just plain stupidity.
Yes, Frenchies, can’t swim and even if you teach them, and even with a vest there is always a possibility they will not survive. Not a good idea to EVER leave them unattended by water. Mine decided to take a nose dive into a hot tub at age 13 out of the blue. Didn’t even try to paddle just dropped like a bowling ball. Luckily mama was there to catch him right away. Otherwise it would have been a true nightmare.
Oops! So glad you were there! ❤ Perhaps he might need to learn where the steps are in case that happens when you are not there? He’s so freaking adorable! 😍🥰
I thought he was circling around the pool with such speed, because he was so excited & was amping himself up to jump in, then to accidentally fall in what he was trying to avoid all along 🤣😂 Lesson learned: We can run and try to hide but voluntarily or by accident in the end we will face our fears🥰😁 Shalom✌️and Agape 💕

Honestly it would probably be better if he was traumatized by it. Then he will remember not to run around that pool. It'll only make him afraid of going near the pool wich is a good thing since he cant swim. Wont make him afraid of everything.

Frenchies will just sink bc they’re not built for it. They need a floating vest.
It is for most dogs, especially those bred for water sports/hunting. It's really only the Mastiffs, bulldogs and heavy coated breeds that can't.

Wow. That was a very high speed. He could not stop in time. I am very happy that his human friends were there to save him.
The humans are those who put the dog at risk
This is why potential pet owners should be made to pass test and the breeders or shelters which provide those pets should investigate those potential pet owners to see if they are fit to have pets.

That was so cute. I hope he wasn't traumatized by his near drowning. Frenchie's are such a good time!
Honestly it would probably be better if he was traumatized by it. Then he will remember not to run around that pool. It'll only make him afraid of going near the pool wich is a good thing since he cant swim. Wont make him afraid of everything.

I didn’t know that French Bulldogs can’t swim. Our 5 month old mini Jack Russell puts this dog to shame as he showed us last month how good a swimmer he was in the bath! Living in the UK we don’t have the luxury of a pool in the garden and couldn’t afford to heat it anyway with the energy crisis and prices that have risen out of all proportion and sanity.

Should teach lil guy how to swim. I know its hard for that breed but it's worth a try
Frenchies can’t swim, they sink
It's not about not knowing how, but about how stocky and unnatural their bodies are bred, so they just tip vertically like that and sink, without being able to do anything about it.
@@ElaMongrella I know, it's why I said I know its hard for tht breed. Jus think anything is worth a try. Could be the first in its breed to learn. Jus like who would thought dogs can learn to skateboard . But ya I get it. The body makes it nearly impossible for them to swim.
