    I really like your videos man, no overly flashy BS like a lot of YT stuff. I'm a few weeks away from receiving my type 1 Commanders and I can't wait! I have talked to three different people since the first time I've called them and they've all been great folks to talk to.

    I got my Franks boots mid August and from day one they were comfortable and I was able to wear them all day at work. I went back and forth between Franks, Nicks and Wesco like most people and couldn’t decide for a long time which company to go with! Two things I wanted to share about it. Nicks Only lets you order their configuration on boots when it’s your first pair going through the fit process. For me I wanted a few different things (Double mid sole, double clastic toe, dogger heel, lace to toe) from stock. They wouldn’t do it for me. I actually placed my order with Nicks for a week and after I realized Franks would do everything I wanted on my first pair I canceled my order. And to my surprise the customer service person at Nicks didn’t even care and didn’t ask why I was canceling. Second was how awsome Junior is! Just talk to him and in two minutes you know your making the right decision!

      I had the same experience. Read the protocol, sprayed the 50/50 alcohol/water mix, thought I’d go an hour, wore them all day. The only issue has been getting my fat flat foot past the boot ankle, but once on, the fit is the best my feet have ever had.

    I've had a pair of Franks 8" Type 1 Commanders in all smooth chocolate w/ toe cap for a year now and like you said, they are beyond comfortable. I don't want to take them off at the end of the day. There was a sizing issue with them originally and Junior took care of it. Highly recommend going with a stock configuration; I would've went 10" smooth upper/roughout lower and no toe cap if I could've done it over. Still don't regret getting them though.

    Really appreciate this honest and laid back review. Wouldn’t mind more videos on your boots and the topic in general, it’s like you said, there’s not much info about Franks boots on youtube/the web.
    Great advertisement for Franks, and really helps me narrow it down for me when it comes to deciding where I’m gonna get my next boots from.

    Good review. Been holding off pulling the trigger for too long but I've been leaning towards Frank's myself. Joined a Facebook boot group that Frank is in and just the way he comes across on there has swayed me towards buying from him. Seems like a really good dude. I've just been having a hard time deciding on style. I'm an aircraft mechanic over at MCO in your neck of the woods (live in Clermont) and can't decide if I should go with the lug sole like you have or one of the wedge soles since I'm mostly on concrete. We do a fair bit of climbing around on ladders, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and structure. (kind of like walking on a steel building structure) Any insight on that? Might just need to give Frank a call and see what he says. Look forward to the update.

      I’d definitely give franks a call to hear there opinions.my personal opinion would be the T1 commanders with maybe a honey vibram sole so you have a lil extra cushion on each step,but still has the heel for good traction on ladders and walking steel.but honestly whichever boot you choose it’s gunna be amazing over 15 years in hard working jobs going thru all sorts of boots and the franks are in a league of there own. My two cents...🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

    Between Nicks and franks, which has toe leather that doesn't fall apart faster? I never heard of Franks until last night.
    My new job requires a steel toe. My steel toe Wescos opened at the toes in 8 months.

    • @alexanderlevesque2694
      @alexanderlevesque2694 Год назад

      Frank's makes an awesome boot. Get a toe cap and you'll have 2 layers of leather at the toe plus the liner. Steel toe comes in the 55 last (#3) toe with franks. You could also go with the Frank's patriot ST for 350 to give franks a shot before going full custom

    I do a lot of manhole work and spend a lot time up in bucket truck, don’t use hooks very often. So are these boots actually comfortable on concrete or just standing in my bucket for hours splicing? I have wanted to pull the trigger on a pair of boots like these but the thought of just standing on slabs of leather and rubber doesn’t sound like comfort.

    • @keithjohnson5148
      @keithjohnson5148  4 года назад +2

      Honestly I yet to climb in mine. prolly a lil over 80hrs in them so far and there pretty comfortable.still breaking in,but noticeable difference from my old boots.also the leather sole had me confused at first but it’s not like you think,the leather actually forms to your foot making it much more comfortable.mine like said still breaking in but way better comfort than my redwings.
