It was very overwhelming when I came to the Philipines to marry my beautiful wife. The whole family and barangy came to see me . We did karaoke for many days with coconut wine, Red Horse, Pilsen and always offering food and chairs to sit. They never let me go back home, lol....showed me where to build our house, and now I'm part of the family.
If you are going to these small villages , I always take good quality solar lights , you will always find old people who can't afford electricity. It's a better gift than food for them . The province people are some of the best to meet , they are genuinely interested in getting to know you . Beautiful experience
What a great video! It must’ve been very overwhelming for you to experience so many people wanting to see you. I can’t stop smiling just watching the first third of this . Fabulous that you were thinking on your feet by getting this on cam!
Agree. I think they were waiting for him. I think they knew he was coming; therefore, the amount of people outside. I believe Fanur arranges these visits through social media.
My first trip to The Philipines to meet my LDR for the first time, her entire barangay i swear, followed us to her house to meet her family. I sat down in the kitchen with her mom and dad, to ask if i could court her. There werr 60 faces looking in the window while we talked.
I remember this reaction from the locals when I first arrived in the small town of Cayan up in the province of Isabella. I went so uncomfortable. I was never use to the attention. Crazy and fun. Both! So many beautiful ladies.

Many people would say that these people just want to scam money from the visiting foreigner. I think anyone can see that's not the case and they are genuinely excited and overjoyed to meet you for many reasons and has nothing to do with money.
I wouldn't say scam.... but if you settle there and get to know them better then the requests will start with.... can you help with her / his birthday, christening etc etc..... Best of luck.... and enjoy the honeymoon period 🤣
Slow down there speed racer!!! Don’t let this video fool you. There are PLENTY scammers in the Philippines just as there are everywhere else in the world. From experience, I can say they are a very hospitable people. They have little to nothing but they will accommodate you as if they have everything in the world to give. They are good hearted people there and certainly no shortage of scammers but can you really blame them? I thought people in Bangkok were poor until I went to the Philippines. People in the Philippines are so special to me, i like Filipina beauty, i like filipino culture, i have a lot of friends in the Philippines, salamat po 😊
Im sitting at my lunchtime watching this video. This is what America lacks. A sense of Happiness, community, the welcoming of strangers into our communities, the sense of genuine warmth from these people. If this was America, the stranger would be greeted with a mass of guns suspiciously wanting to know what you as a stranger is here for. The police would probably come along wanting your ID, to search your car and then asking why you are in the community. Women are friendly and approachable, don't have to worry about the police being called on you, made fun of or put down all because you were friendly to the females, like it is here in America. If this was me being treated like this, I would say I have found my new home. For now, Ill stay in my my community where I do not know the names of my neighbors, people do not speak to each other unless they know who you are. Efforts to be friendly here are looked at suspiciously. Everywhere I go, I strap on my 44 magnum for protection( I have a CCW license) , not knowing if I am going to be accosted by an under 25 year old meth head ( which this drug is popular here and crime & violence have risen because of it). After seeing many videos like this one, I can understand why men leave America and get married to these very beautiful and friendly women. I am definitely going to be Philippines bound, after my child support is paid when my son turns 18 next May.
These people are not the B'laan I knew in the 60's. look up Jessie Gan plays woodpecker song, when song is over my name is there from my friend who dedicated the song to me. I also have the ludlung from the B'lann, and play it.
