Oh Claire the way you apologised for feeling like this about your second child when there are people who don’t have their first yet, you’re so lovely. I’ll keep everything crossed for you xxx
Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your journey with us Claire! I’ve been TTC for over 4 years and am currently in my 2 week wait after doing an IUI cycle. 🤞🏼 I’m trying so hard not to get too excited but also want to hold some hope. We’ve been told we would be ideal candidates for IVF but it’s just SO expensive in South Africa, well for us at least. Our plan is to try 3 IUI’s (if the first, second doesn’t take), and then it’ll be plan “win the lotto / rob a bank” and try IVF. Sending positive vibes to all the other parents in waiting ✨
Thank you for sharing Claire, fertility issues are not spoken about enough. I had twin boys as result of our one chance of IVF available to us on the NHS, I will forever be grateful with we had the opportunity. Wishing you health and happiness xx
Thank you for sharing your journey. IVF should be spoken about more frequently and not so “Taboo” I have everything crossed that you & Paris are successful. It’s amazing emotional, hormonal road, full of ups and downs. My husband and I tried so many times through IUI and IVF, miscarriages etc. My story didn’t have a happy ending, and I am now in my 50’s. The guilt of not being a mother and feeling like I have failed is very painful and has taken me many years to overcome. Good luck, I will be following your journey xx
Wishing you all the luck in the world Claire. Have been in your shoes ... both my daughters were conceived through IVF. My oldest now 28 is expecting her first baby in February. So excited to be grandma!!!😁❤ Hold onto your dream🙏
How special for you to share, I had my own fertility journey it brings back so many memories, my IVF twin girls are 37 I only had 4 good eggs 3 took initially but it settled at two, it was magical after years of sadness, 8 years after the twins I fell pregnant normally, my 40th birthday present 😊 always stay positive & believe, wishing you so much success & happiness x I’m looking forward to hearing the rest of your journey ❤ it’s a very emotional roller coaster for you both x take care ❤
I'm a long time follower. I'm wishing you and Paris only the best. You're wonderful Parents and hope for your success. Thank you for sharing your journey with us
Thanks for sharing your process!🤍 Im a boy but my aunt had my cousin through IVF and she is so grown and beautiful now! I remember her process! Prayer for you and your beautiful family!🫶🏼🫶🏼
Thank you so much for sharing your journey Claire! I’ve been on the fertility journey this year and such videos gave me so much hope and most of all made me feel understood and not alone. I’ve been and I always be in awe of all women who go through this, your strength is unmeasurable! I’m writing this now being 25 weeks pregnant after first IUI try. Wishing you so much strength and success! Whatever happens you can be proud of yourself. Sending huge hug to you, Paris and Honorè! 🤗❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing Claire. I have been there, it took me 4 rounds. It’s really hard, emotionally, physically and financially..By the way, some of the best clinics are in Spain 🇪🇸, and it’s closer to the UK. I wish you lots of luck 🍀 🤗
This is so useful for people in the same situation! What you were saying about being in the right headspace - I know several people who've needed ivf for their first child, and then conceived naturally once the initial pressure isn't so intense (I'm by no means saying this is the case for everyone), the second non assisted pregnancies happened fairly quickly after the first assisted pregnancy. There is also research that found that talking to a psychologist before ivf, not only increased the chances of a natural pregnancy, but where this didn't happen, it increased the chances of ivf working. Fingers crossed for you Claire, and anyone in the same situation.❤
I had a feeling your visits to Dubai were for fertility treatment. A close friend went through IVF treatments 3 times. The latter resulting in successfull pregnancy with triplets! So the 3rd time was the charm for them. They went to a renowned clinic in Denver that they travelled to from Texas. This clinic has a very high success rate here in the US. You mentioned a nutrition journey. It's so important to continue eating nutritionally and supporting your thyroid and immune system. I highly suggest working with a holistic nutritionist to keep inflammation of the gut down. I know you have issues with Eczema and that's a side effect of inflammation. Also eliminate endocrine interrupting chemicals like fluoride, chemical filled detergents which are absorbed through the skin as well as synthetic fragrance in perfume, soaps and candles. Same applys to what you cleam your home with. Don't take Ibuprofen!!- it delays OVULATION and lowers progesterone. Progesterone is our calming hormone. When it's low you can experience heavy periods, cramping, PMS., etc. not to mention it's cancer prevention protection. Ibuprofen causes gut inflammation, increases gut permability and depletes melatonin, folate absorption and B vitamins. Fulvic and folic acid are your friends. Buy a good Shilajit supplement brand to help with that as well as freeze dried beef liver, vitamin C and magnesium. I'm so looking forward to the day you reveal that you are way into your pregnancy like you did with Honore! May God's blessing be upon you in this journey Claire and family!❤
Thank you so much for sharing all of this. It’s going to be super helpful for someone just starting their journey and reading these comments. Many good tips. My eczema is so bad I do a lot of research into this. I stay away from inflammatory foods because of this, my only weakness is coffee but I banned coffee for most of this year. Dr Zakwan also discovered i have an inflamed issue in the uterus so it was a big red flag. Chemicals we don’t use as im asthmatic. Same with ibuprofen; it’s triggering for asthma attacks so never take it. I dedicated 2023 to research and a health journey. I took it so seriously. I was doing acupuncture and holistic therapy since Feb. I had to know in myself I had done absolutely everything, covering every avenue and know that I tried my best if it didn’t happen. Then I could hopefully be more forgiving to myself and stop blaming my body.
It is wonderful that you want to share this journey that is very personal to you. I hope that you have success, you are a devoted mother with so much to give and you should never feel uncomfortable to say you want more.
Firstly just started watching and trying to catch up on your videos watching your fertility journey. But it really struck me when you said that about because you have a child already and other women that do then can't conceive again are made to feel slightly guilty for wanting another. My motherhood journey hasn't been easy. I first got pregnant at 27 but lost him at 7months. Before this I new I had PCOS but never really thought of it as an issue. 4 years later I finally conceived again my daughter is now 13. From the moment she was born and I was able to I was.open to another child. After 3 or 4 years it just wasn't happening and ppl used to say to me well just be grateful you have Lily. And I truly was. Got to about 10years and age of 41 and all them years of trying, and ppl saying be grateful for Lily, at least you have her. It made me kind of feel guilty for yearning for another child and sibling for her. I'm now 44 and there is now truly past the chance of me having another child. As you say you can not get help through NHS when you already have a child. And possibility of myself and my husband being able to afford to pay for IVF now is out the window. But what I'm trying to get at is just because you ha ha child already never be made to feel guilty with 'well at least you have 1' kind of attitude from ppl. I did and now it's to late and it eats me up inside every single day. I wish you both all the best with this journey and can't wait to catch up on all the videos. 💫🌈🩵
I think that we all appreciate your honesty and being open about such a private and sensitive subject...i have read somewhere that czech Republic is good for fertility journey..❤❤ i hope it all worked out the way you wanted..❤❤ youre such a strong person and inspiration to a lot of women.sending lots of love ❤
Good luck on your journey. We chose to leave the UK for treatment as well, and chose Prague. It’s been the best decision we’ve made. A lot higher quality of care there than we ever got in the UK
Hi, why do couples not want or even talk about adoption? Bc if you put both on paper and look only at the "easy" things in these difficult (for couples, for yourself, hard fysical and mental) topics ● Time: ivf versus adoption = it can both be plus-minus the same amount of time that goes in the traject ● Money: in both goes lots of money (This 👆🏻 is not to offend anyone, really ANYONE, that's why I wrote in beginning ""EASY THINGS"" So hhmm 🤔... yea , why not adoption? ✌🏻🍀
