My favourite part of OG creative was during Season X where you could get the Batman mythics from chests or on the main island it was just so fun.
Another fun thing was when you could glitch onto the main island and go to tilted town (zero build western tilted) and throw junk rifts and book box’s trying to destroy the town which was impossible in the actual game

I remember in playground if you went into a rift zone you got creative perms and you could glich out of the zone and fly around the island
I prefer the prefab grenades over the area box because they gave you a full hologram. The amount of times I'm placing a prefab and it's just a tile or two out of place because the box shows the whole area is insane. And I hate wide open gaps between buildings so it's incredibly frustrating
FACTS! Lining up The Dusty Warehouses were a nightmare on the new system.
Also with uneven terrain it goes under the ground
I remeber when creative first released in season 7 and I loved this avalanche map I never see stuff like that made again hopefully creative gets more diverse again
Agreed, All of the Red v. Blue, Pit and OnlyUp clones are boring.
Such good memories... Ngl i kinda forgot about the hub rifts, i never noticed their removal. Also, the new event system is cool, and i know how to use it, but i miss channels. I also hope they bring mechs back one day, hoping for more great things to come!
There was a way that I remember vaguely. So basically back then in 2020 ish to 2022 (around the beginning of 2022) there was glitch that would allow you to skip grinding for games in creative that saved your progress. And from what I remember you needed to place a marker in the island then go to the a friends or yours creative map then the items you wanted and another person with rifts or something that was really fast. Then you would travel the distance you needed to reach the map. (Btw you could bring ANY items in creative at the time of the glitch). And you get the weapons / items. But you may be wondering “How do you know about this?”. Well 1 it doesn’t work anymore from what I can’t tell, and 2 a friend I met in the game I used the ‘exploit’ in and he taught me the glitch. And if that friend is reading this by chance please give me your username in Fortnite.
I did manage to get save the world props, all the guns were lost though
Something you don't mention is that back in the day, not only did we have almost no island templates, but we had only about 4 islands per template. We couldn't make more of the islands you wanted until much later when we got 50 island slots
Honestly I still run out with 50 💀
Creative has gone very far. I do remember when all those YTbers were invited to play Creative for the first time. That was pretty cool.

Ok, the only thing I didn’t know about in the whole video was the wall in the castle prefab that was a prop. Hopefully we get a B.R.U.T.E spawner device in the future with appearance options for both the normal and salvaged one from chapter 2 season 8.

@@ethanmcneill1941 Yes there was and I uploaded 3 videos of me using the Salvaged B.R.U.T.E. to my channel back on December 16th 2021 one of which has over 500 views and 2 other videos related to Salvaged B.R.U.T.E.s earlier around the end of November 2021.

I remember my first build in playground and creative
Creative: a giant claw machine made out of wood with random stuff inside and it had a wooden figure standing outside
Playground: A sky base with a little hut on top of the base and I blew up the bottom with c4 and watched as the base slowly destroyed itself with me inside the hut
Another playground creation: me and a friend built a race track through tilted going in and out of buildings

I still have some maps with the plates on it
and I MISS THEM SO MUCH
I hope some time in the future epic adds back the plates so theres the plate version and the prop version
So its like how the mounted turrent(idk how to spell it), mutator zone, barrier, and damage zone all have a plate version and a prop version.
And I also hope epic adds the device plate floor mesh as a floor peice, cause its so cool, and would be nice for builds
I remember all of them and the guided missile was my favourite and the nostalgia from all these og things and the clips from old Fortnite made me (chapter 1 season 1 og) cry so hard 😭
Sameee. I remember opening thousands of chests for the guided missle. I logged on one day after saving it and it was gone.. 😪

Edit: there are some glitches that exist to get the br island visible, and people were able to get props from the island to there maps, even the zero point, but the glitch that i know got patched a few months after the glitch video was posted
Aw man playground mode was top tier! And the throwable structures bring back all kinds of memories.

@@MustardPlaysand mustard what about the spikey stadium back in the day where it was a throwable in playground mode or a floating p.o.i I think called the training island. It was directly above that one mountain in the center of the island in ch.1
almost nobody remembers the island settings device (the island settings tab actually used to be a device placed under the map before phase mode was introduced, one day it disappeared. if you delete everything in your map, you're still left with a bit of memory, i like to think that's the device still somewhere taking up memory), people discovered it about 2-3 weeks into creative (i think) and it was removed a while later.
also stuff like the dispositioned chug jug, which happened when you drank a chug jug while flying with balloons, or just flying; the purple shadow bombs; the clock tower glitch to break the barrier (day 1 and 2 only); people actually building in the ice cave in one of the ice islands; building on the main island; etc
It is plausible since UEFN will say that "This experience does not contain a Settings Device" sometimes.
Edit: This is usually due to a glitch with UEFN and the in-game settings GUI during an edit session.

They did release the mech back into BR in Chapter 2 Season 8, (After they got removed from creative) so hopefully we can get them back in creative at some point.

I used to build a lot of maps and honestly they were so hard to make at the time. Everything I made would be mediocre nowadays but back then they were very impressive 💀
I remember a long time ago when Creative first released, I somehow got a glitch where a balloon from the Balloons item permanently stayed on my island in the same spot, you couldn’t even interact or move it. Unfortunately, my dumb self thought this was stupid and I reset the island and permanently lost any evidence of this bug.
creative has improved so much, I love the creative mode in this game a lot, played it for a while and now when I finally get enough for a pc I’ll be able to do even more, and have it still be in Fortnite
I remember every single one even the castle thing and even a bonus that planes were accidently leaked in the first creative trailer and that in season X if you went in one of the bubble things on the main island it glitched and gave you the phone and then if you placed a brute outside of the bubble it let you place stuff on the island
an old feature i remember vividly is that the team settings/class devices had settings that made it so members of a specific team were forced to have a specific skin , and it allowed you to make themed team-based modes like food fight, and there was only a select handful of skins to choose from being beef boss, tomatohead, cuddle team leader, raven, and funk ops. i’m sad that epic removed that setting because it could be so useful for a disguise mechanic, and if it still existed today it would’ve likely been updated with more skins like oro or the various guards in order to create scenarios like a ghost vs shadow map

This was nice because I played creative since the beginning and you’ll always see the videos talking about OG battle royalle but you’ll never see videos on OG creative, so this was a nice flashback

Something I remember fondly is how if you were able to glitch under your island you could find the island setting device sitting there

Although, still one thing that confuses me is why we still don't have mechs. We did get it back in BR (while in the new engine!) at the end of Ch2 yet still have not got it for some reason?

I still have an old parkour map from around season 8 called stop the volcano, I was building the volcano with blocks but got lazy and to this day it’s still just a bunch of blocks surrounding the mountain.
I remember back then, in Season X, you could glitch into the main island. And thanks to the prop gun, you could do a glitch which would resize you. I remember when that glitch was still a thing, I’d always resize myself as Mecha Team Leader and just run around the map as if I was actually him lmao. I’d spam No Sweat and such. Also, this isn’t necessarily from creative, but there was also a glitch back then with the BRUTE and Tilted Town that allowed you to keep the cowboy appearance on your skin even out of the rift zone. Paired with skins like Drift and Peely I believe, your skin would completely change to the Deadfire skin. So I’d just run around the map as Deadfire…
I remember a glitch back when creative came out where after a creative build session, I played some squads with friends, but as I was walking, my session restarted and it kicked me out the match into creative!
Naw I remember the port-a-fort style prefabs so well. I might be tripping but I remember getting them in a chest in a started game

I remember back in season 8 I found my own glitch to get back onto the battle royale island. It was insane.
Basically what you’d do was get on a driftboard and spam the rift to go. Once you did it enough you’d teleport to the Br island
Anyone else remember when a tune (in the key of D) would play when you would enter your rift? I also remember when the phone would make a noise when you picked it up, and the text saying "Welcome to creative! Your island is in the golden rift!" Would appesr when you spawned in the creative hub

I remember these all, amazing memories of messing around then having the storm come and ruin it all lol
Back then you could acces the menu map under the map by a glitch. And the device was like a really cool save the world item
Only OGs remember when playground was limited time, and when playgrounds circle wasn’t covering the whole map so the storm would close in on the edges where POIs once stood, and with the speed while flying in creative I think in season 8 or 9 my friend told me you could go faster so for a while I went normal speed.
Rember the dev device under the map?
Or the guided missle revolver and other weapons early in creative using chests? Or early access to creative mode

You know what I remember, I remember when you actually put effort into your builds and spent hours making it look amazing, creative 2.0 ruined everything. I miss the old mustard plays

Before phasing was a thing in creative mode, if you somehow got under the map you would see a device for publishing maps. It got removed when phasing was added. (I somehow got under so that is how I know)

Remember the og invisibility glitch. I use do it all the time. Fill your inventory with score counters and use a shadow bomb. Then an invisible purple shadow bomb would appear and if you picked it up, you would be invisible.

New sub here. I love your videos! They are very informative, and you've helped me create my islands. Do remember the Dance Club Cabin in Chapter 2 Season 1? I really want to add that music to my island, but I can't find it in the radio device, or anywhere in Creative. I'm so bummed that I either can't find it, or Epic didn't add it into Creative.

1:07 if I remember correctly you can still get those by putting a prefab in a chest and opening it (they may have patched that though so idk)

My very first island in creative was just a punch of port a fortresses thrown and zombie spawners it has og spawn pads
I remember I would use storm flip to stay in the game longer to finish off small area I was doing when zone was till a thing

4:08 (#11 devices) you forgot about the spawn pad that was a trap, the check piont, barrier, mutation zone, and damage volume device
I honestly forgot how much bigger the chekpoint, mutator, barrier and damage device where, and we had to play around more with their positioning.
I really hope they add back the mechs and add the channels back as it's a pain to try the event system. Hopefully it could be a setting to change to channels or event systems
I loved it when u had prop hunt and beach assault as a gamemode, man i loved beach assault…

The new event system is hard to use and if you had a device with events and you want to copy it to save time
The device just breaks and it copies the events with it and when you go to delete the events on the new one the events on the other device also gets Deleted

I remember that we used to glitch under the island with spawn pad and there was here a device with the island setting, but i can't find anything about it
so i found a old video that show this, look for kross chaos and there is a 4 years old video
Playground was fun for me, I’m not kidding I played it with my cousin in 2018 during season 4 or 5 idk
I remember when a plane flied upside down, if you went to passanger seat, the builds were upside down as well xdxd (as well as sideways)
Most of my builds were built with glitched shadow walls and now if I go to my old moss most of the building have no walls. The shadow walls were so nice, I want them ti bring them back
