Thank you for posting this! We're planning a trip in June there and my 1 yr old daughter watched this and went nuts with joy! That gives me a heads up of things. It's been 20 yrs since I've been there.
hey guys do you like the zoo? I am asking it that way because I work there I love my zoo and for some of you that don't like that they are in cages a lote of animals there cant be because they a hert very badly and we have saved them the ones born in captivity well most of the time they can go back to the wild but I hope you guys like it :D
Some animals I can understand, especially the endangered ones. But I definitely don't agree with Eagles or other birds that need big spaces. The Buffalo are another animal that shouldn't be confined to such small areas, that Rhino was pacing which is not a good sign, the Bear as well. Those animals specifically need a much larger space, or free all together. If you or anyone else thinks differently, then you're just wrong!
@@johnnydwyer4261 7 years of growing up have given me a better outlook of life in many ways such as life is one big grey area i can agree zoo's often don't present a large enough are for an animal to get a large enough environment or stimule that they need. However certain animals are only still alive because of zoo's or simply can't be taken from their zoo habitats because they are born in a zoo a eagle born in captivity simply will not handle going to the wild well or at all. Rhinos while i do agree they need more area lets face it they are at critical risk of being murdered for there horns and that's a simple fact regardless. As for pacing you don't know what time of day this is for the animals it could be a number of factors from feeding time to doing the rounds of there territory that is there inclosure. Some of these animals simply canno't be put in the wild or "let free" because they would simply die one of the couger's for example is blind i don't have to explain on that very much. The bears brutus and buckeye were born at the zoo once again not able to go to the wild and the zoo has increased many of the animals habitats not all because lets be frank $ is a thing that is a actual problem its hard to care for all of these animals "perfectly" when you have to feed all of them and run a surviving business so these animals that can't go to the wild (which might i add is constantly becoming smaller) have a place of safety and they can live. The world is not black and white and while i can say that yes some of the animals spaces could be made larger and better for them there can be reasons for that or other reasons while an animal may display certain behaviors. In the end yea some of the animals at the zoo could use more space but is it better for them to live there and have less space than them being completely dead? Thats a tough question that idk if many people have the right to sayif its a yes or a no.
The male lion that walked up to the people and made those sounds were probably pleading with them to get him released. What an inhumane and barbaric act imprisoning these animals. An employee of this zoo declared his pride of this hell for animals.
for you it was ok, but l could cry. seeing this beatiful animal what is closed up for people's entertainment. as for all the other animals too by the way better visit a jail. at least than you can understand why they are not free... because they did something wrong what did animals do wrong that they are forst do live such a misarably live?

I am concerned about what happens after an earthquake or tornado hits Columbus & all these things get loose. Nonetheless great video. Thank you.
