Nice video. I too was excited to see us get Archer in the Kern's building. (Fellow Knoxville resident and stationery/ pen fanatic) I have been to the one in ATL a couple of times when I have went to the Atlanta Pen Show so it was great seeing it. I picked up quiet a few things as well and was able to get the last Kaweco Sport FP in the Collectors Series they had. They only had 2 other sports left. Last time i went they were sold out and the guy had no idea when they would restock. He just stood behind the counter and knew nothing about the products. Peiple would come in and go out and he would not acknowledge them at all. I fear they may not last long if the service is always like that. Enjoyed the video and seeing someone else appreciate us finally getting something other than Jerry's Artarama with Apica and Fabriano.
There's another person on here who is in Knoxville too, we need to do a meetup someday! I had never heard of Archer until I went to Kern's the very first time. They do carry special Japanese items which is great. Usually I like to go to Kinokuniya outside Atlanta. YES - the employees know nothing! Last time the woman didn't even say any word to me when checking out (and I spent a lot). I don't think they're going to last long because of the parking issue at Kern's now. In fact, I haven't returned since, because having to give my credit card/license plate scan and try to get it validated is a hassle. They made a mistake doing that, Kern's should have just implemented a charge on game days. There's no reason to pay for parking in SoKno lol. I live right by Jerry's and went there recently - they had a decent selection but not enough for me :X
Oh wow! I feel your excitement 😊 I definitely miss walking into a stationery stop - more fun than online ordering. Looks like you had fun exploring new tools. I hope you are getting rest and feeling better!
Some of these items I had never seen before, so it was definitely exciting! I will definitely be going back to the food hall because there are numerous places inside, and it's a big place to hang out with friends!
@@stationery.shenanigans It’s like a stationery hangout spot! Shopping and then go have lunch and coffee and journal with new stuff! Maybe you can do a vlog in the future!
Fun stuff Greg, I like the variety of stuff you got & would love to see a gray penco clampy, they're so handy. That spiral pencil is so cool. It's A bummer that salesperson didn't know more. Maybe since the store is new, they haven't realized how cool stationery is yet? Sounds like a cool journaling group meet up place. Hope Job's class helped get the inspiration back!
That's a great idea - a perfect spot for some sort of journaling meetup BECAUSE outside of it is a giant food hall/food court sort of place. I need to find some locals!
Sorry for the late reply! I'm traveling and don't have the Memoc tape with me, but what I gather from the packaging (it's in Japanese), it is like a big washi tape that you adhere to pages and you write directly on it. I'll test it out when I get home in a few weeks.
That's a great question! I just checked and it fits perfectly - obviously since it's not as wide, you lose some space between the end of the TN cover and the notebook, but it looks nice! For some reason when I first saw it in the store, I thought it was a lot longer than a regular TN and expected it to not fit.
What a great find - looks like you had fun!
I was so excited, there is something exciting about seeing the items in person!
Yay for local stationary stores! Great haul!
Thanks for watching! I will definitely be going back there at least for the food haha

Hi Greg! I saw you in Job’s class 👋🏻 TFS 😊
I signed up for it before I felt overwhelmed by my TN! It was a great class and I wish they have more of those things (or at least Job!)
that was a cool looking TN
I'm excited to have a local stationery store finally!
Thanks so much for the video! You sound like you feel better :) Is the Memoc tape thin, like film fusen ? can you write on it? Thanks so much!

@@stationery.shenanigans Thanks!!
Question for you. That Robiki notebook….does that fit well in a travelers notebook?
