The sound of these N/A engines above 7,000rpm is just pure excitement. We’re so unaccustomed to cars revving that high that you can’t help but smile!
As of now at least. A little over a decade ago, almost everything was na. Most performance cars easily broke 7k rpm, although we didn’t realize we were taking those sounds for granted.
I don’t think I’ve ever smiled that much in a 20 min car review. Not even in the GT2 RS one. Absolut dream car for me

There is a reason Porsches have large wings: the rear engine layout limits the size of a diffusor so to generate downforce they have to compensate with a larger rear wing which comes with the downside of higher drag and lower v-max
In their 911 RSR WEC racecar, they deliberately moved the engine to the front in order to mount a larger diffusor for more ground effect downforce.
In this GT3RS, they also tilt the engine up to make room for a bigger diffuser.
You mean in front of the gearbox/ rear axle right… the RSR was mid engine, and allowed homologation in that GT3r class but was basically a “prototype”.
Basically RSR= mid engine, not front engine…
That's right, it was also done by RedBull when Kers was reintroduced, so they could keep the body much tighter with cleaner flow to the beam wing
I don't see why they just put double wishbone on a gt4 rs and use that.

Porsche did an fantastic job on the aero. They always find a way to make each version better. Looks amazing. Like every version you will wish it had like 100hp more which is a testament to the suspension setup.
I love how they made the spoiler comically larger than the previously comically large original photoshopped spoiler

@@pappi187 Porsche has long said it will make a 992 GT2 RS. It will be a hybrid and is scheduled to come out in 2026. It’s the perfect way to cap the GT lineup and will likely be the most powerful 911 ever.

Great review! I just took delivery of mine from Porsche Nashua (New Hampshire - USA) and it is miles above the previous 991 version. The handling and confidence it gives to the driver is amazing and can't be overstated!!!! You will not understand what this car gives the driver until you drive it. You can even feel the downforce when you turn the DRS on and off at highway speeds and higher. I also own the GT2 RS and GT4 RS and had the 991 GT3 RS and can say it handles better than them all, but the power of the GT2 RS maintains it as king! I can't wait for the 992 GT2 RS and hope Porsche keeps the weight down, so as to not loose the handling characteristics of this car!

I didn't know the Wiessach Package included magnetic paddle shifters. Magnetic paddles are so much fun.

I test drove this car in Hong Kong, it was absolutely INSANE! Different straight line experience compared to a Ferrari. Much more prefer this car👍🏻

The difference in the driving sensation between the Gt3 and the Gt4 is the fact that the gt3 has the engine hung behind the rear axle, the weight distribution is totally different!! Grettings from Tampico Tamaulipas.

Nice car. I think it would be even better if they had given it the 4.2 version of this engine in the GT3R to push the HP figure closer to 550, and torque closer to 370, to make up for the extra drag this car has over the GT3
