unfortunately Amazon blocked local ADB access so my apps wont work on that platform. I only plan to make apps for Android TV now.

Hi doc… My cache cleaner is not working either for over a year now. It did work before but stopped. I did mention it to you before but you didn’t reply. I can click on it no problem it just don’t clear the cache. Please advise

You only turn it on when you want to use the app. Once you’ve used the app to set the encrypted dns servers , you can turn off network debugging. You only need to open my app again if you want to change the encrypted dns server you are using or turn off encrypted dns.
I bought it for Shield tv pro and followed all the instructions but it didn't work. it gave a long coded error. I had to ask for a refund.

Just started using your New app. I'm using a Formuler 11 Pro Max. For some reason it connects, and they losses it's connection; and I'm able to connect again. The only way it connects again, I have to force close the app; then restart the app.
You don’t need to stay connected. You only connect to set the encrypted dns servers and start. Once you’ve clicked on start - you don’t need to open my app again as the dns change has been made on your system. You only open my app again if you need to change to a different dns server or if you want to stop using encrypted DNS.

I have the app installed and working fine on a ONN Pro however on the new Google Streamer I was able to install the app but when I click the "Connect to this device via ADB" selection on the menu.. the app immediately closes. Is this an Android 14 issue? Is a update needed?

I do not get the ability to select the DNS server to change add block programme. am in Australia & using a VPN. therefore still getting adds. have made the changes in settings as advised. Anybody have similar probs or a way to change?

Techdoctor uk, Can I assume that as this is only for android tv that it is refused by amazon due to the adb issue, is there any alternative software that could do this on amazon which does not need to take up the vpn or does not need adb to work because this would be certainly an advantage to fire tv users as i hate adverts on 3rd party apks and i am cutting out alot of ads from 3rd party with my vpn (ip vanish) but they still creep through like in your video above
yes, Amazon wont allow apps that use ADB

Once you’ve clicked on “start using encrypted dns servers”, you don’t need to open the app again or remain connected. The only time you need to open the app is if you want to change to a different encrypted DNS server or if you want to stop using it.
Looks good. I'm not sure how the free version you're considering would work - an ad-supported ad-blocker😂

It’s works on all certified Android TV devices, so not phones and tablets

If you can work out what urls the address come from then you can create your own blocklist and use it with a free DNS like NextDNS. You can then configure my app to use the NextDNS servers

Tech doctor I love your products. I purchased the DNS installed it on my Android box it connected I checked the ad blocker that was fine I connected and ran a test and no test will run. I tried it both with Nord VPN on and off. Still no test results. It does state that it is enabled when you started but will not run a test. Please advise. Thanks for all your hard work and making our lives more enjoyable. Ciao

Please install “TV Bro” from the play store. Then open it to make sure it’s working ok. You can then go back to my app and click on the test button. This will then launch TV Bro and show you the dns results

You need a browser installed. Install "TV Bro" from the playstore. Once you've installed it. Open it to make sure the browser is working on. Then go back to my app - when you now click on "Test" - it will launch TV Bro and show you which DNS servers you are using

You have TV bro installed ? That is the browser i recommend as that definitely works in the test

Seems to work with most apps but I can't get it working with Amazon Prime video
Apps like Prime video and YT have baked-in adverts, where the ad is a part of the video stream. In that example, the ads can't be blocked by encrypted DNS

Do you mean on Amazon devices? if so, the Apps have already been removed from the Amazon app store since Amazon blocked ADB.

It will not. Amazon blocked adb usage.

I don't know exactly HOW they prevent this? However, for certain customers, they prevent them from accessing their Gateway/Router controls entirely!
I am one of those customers! I used to be able to access them (either via their App or via the normal website method), but when I requested a Router UPGRADE about one year ago, they cut-off my access within days of that (I mainly used it to manually choose my Network Channels and bandwidth).
Now, I DO use the 'Ad-Blocker address' you suggested we input into our Fire devices 'SILK' browser, but I have no idea if this has any affect on Xfinity's DNS restriction?
So far, I have heard no complaints from them. I assume that is because the change is made on the FireStick's app and NOT the Router, itself, yes?
Now, I recently bought the $19.95 ONN 4K Google-TV' device. Your new app is designed for its OS, BUT would it still work properly?
In other words ... WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CHANGING MY DNS SOURCE ON MY DEVICE, COMPARED TO MY ROUTER??

P.S. I use Surfshark VPN. You've already mentioned using your TDUK shouldn't negatively affect our VPNs ... HOWEVER, SurfShark uniquely has its own 'Ad-Blocker' option built-in (which I typically have toggled 'ON,' of course). Would YOUR app cause 'issues' (i.e. two ad-blockers on at the same time ... it seems likely, yes?)?
Do you know if the choices in your app are BETTER or WORSE than Surfshark's?
Of course, I have no way to know how their's works!! If it's a priority thing or if they've merely incorporated one of the choices your own app presents?

Just tried it on my tv and it crashed my Internet connection . Had to stop it so I could re conect. Was a bit nervous for a while
Are you using any DNS manipulation software / hardware in your house , like a StreamLocator ? What is the exact device you were using ?
I am using stream locator. My sony Bravia tv . Hard wired it to my Bt Modem but it wouldn't connect.
I stopped the dns connection and it all came back on.
Streamlocator relies on changing your DNS settings. This is what is conflicting with my app. I would suggest getting a refund. Sorry !

Have also tried force stop but still having the same issue. Also if I could make a recommendation, it would be good to have auto connect on it so you don't need to turn it on every time you boot up the shield.

That’s the beauty of the app - set and forget. My app does NOT need to keep running for you to continue using encrypted DNS servers. Even after a restart, the change persists. My app ONLY needs Network Debugging to be enabled when you want to use it. Once you’ve made that change, you can disabled network debugging.
