this song is not just for the fans but for herself too, there's two Wendy on the video, one who was singing and one who was watching and in deep thought, it's like the Wendy who almost lost her all after the accident, but then like on the lyrics when she's about to get use to the darkness, she heard voices waiting for her and it gave her light where she truly belongs, this song is really deep and emotional, I honestly teared up listening to this along like water because both songs has deep meanings about experiences and gratitude ㅠㅠ

I felt the reason this was the first track was because it's where the story she wants to tell starts. Feels like it's the darker/heavier of the title tracks and is her talking to herself. It's then followed by Like Water which has more of a feeling of overcoming something and gratefulness, and is her speaking to her fans. Makes sense they chose for it to be a double title album because the two songs tell one whole story.

I've never heard an idol this good. I respect those before her, especially Tayeon, but Wendy is another level, an evolution. She does not simply sing, she feels every syllable, every note, and delivers with unmatched perfection.

This song just hits different... It's Wendy's message to herself during her hiatus. A lot of thoughts must've crossed her mind. The accident did not only broke her bones, it broke her heart, and her confidence ㅡ which takes way more time to heal. I think she sings softly at first because she’s not confident in her ability to heal others unless she herself is healed, so in turn she creates a story of self healing motivated by the need to heal others, she discovers at the second verse that she must be strong and direct in order to help others and that if she herself feels lost she won’t be able to provide direction to those who need it most. Her tactics totally shift from the first to second verse, she tries to soothe and calm before shifting her tactic and goal to empowering and energizing the listener! Just another take on it! 💕

SM has the lowest views in terms of MVs among the big3 in korea but I must say that they are musically inclined when it comes to music, lyrics, music videos, concepts, and vocals. they do not produce music merely for a trend, but what they produce are really masterpieces. i feel all the emotions when they produce ballad songs, it actually touches my heart, just like wendy's solo album, it screams perfection. the only bad thing about this is sm dont know how to promote their artists properly... tsk tsk.

They also have issues on their sm yt channel because of traffic (too much uploded videos) if they dont use ads the viewers count is much less than the other company. They need to create an individual acct for upcoming groups that they will be forming in the future. An “organic views” was set by exo in 2016 almost 18 million, no ads just raw count.

"When this rain stops" was nominated in KMA aka Korean Grammy. It's not really easy for a soloist's debut song to get nominated like that.
I didn't know the lyrics of 'when this rain stops'. Now I know why I love it so much. Recently I came across her solo album, I listen to it whenever I'm working. I don't know but this song for some reason gives me a sense of healing and strength. I found comfort in her voice. I'm not really a RV stan but I'll definitely support Wendy🥰
