  • In his pilot for THE STEVE MASON SHOW for PBS, he talks to the late film director and actor Peter Bogdanovich. They discuss his early films including THE LAST PICTURE SHOW and WHAT’S UP DOC?, his longstanding friendship with the iconic filmmaker Orson Welles, finding out that his fiancé Dorothy Stratton had been killed by her estranged husband and how he fell in love with Dorothy’s sister. A fascinating man, who was part of the independent film revolution of the early 1970’s in an interview that took place in 2011.

Thoughtful piece. I wish the studio execs would listen because Bogdonovich is exactly right about movies today - they’re B pictures about comic book heroes made for 13 year-olds. I haven’t been to a movie in twenty years for that reason. They’re trash. Thank heavens for Turner Classic films and TUBI and the rest. That’s where the real movies are. .

Interesting Bogdanovich.. PS. When I am in cinema, I am laughing at moments others don't laugh and the other way round.
