Piwon fought hard to their company to give them creative freedom.. Thankfully FNC give their full trust, now Piwon can choose what song to release, write/compose their own songs, doing coreos, visual images, direct their stages and have alot to say about everything they put out.. P1H is not just singers/dancers they are truly an ARTIST.. ❤
I just want to add that Soul only receives as few lines as he does because he doesn’t want any more. He said multiple times that he isn’t confident in his vocal abilities. I’m so glad Jiung could convince him to take a more difficult parts in their most recent album and I really hope that his confidence will grow as well. I just wanted to say this bc it is a common misconception that Soul is being horribly mistreated or anything. He just needs our support and trust
I think a lot of people (me included) knew of Keeho before knowing of P1Harmony. he is part of sooo many kpop funny moments compilations. also, his English name is Stephen
Speaking of ages, I remember some fans made jokes about how it must have been for hard for Theo (at age 18) to connect with Jongseob (at age 14) prior to their debut, which can be funny but also sad to think about. All the members seem to be quite close as of right now, but Jongseob also has mentioned before that he was envious of Theo, who got enjoy his life as a normal kid and hang out with friends before commiting to the idol lifestyle. I feel bad that he had to sacrifice his youth just to make it in the industry but, like you said, I just hope he is protected. I also look forward to more p1harmony content!
theo and jongseob have also been like beet friends since debut!! like you will never catch them not standing next to each other. im pretty sure seob said they got close despite age bc seob would produce a song and theo would sing over it very cute
56:24 as far i know, they were supposed to debut around March/April 2020 but due to the pandemic the debut was delayed until October, I remember at the end of 2019 fnc announced their "new boy group that was about to debut". In 2018-2019, only the final lineup was being defined, not the debut, because Cherry Bullet had barely debuted.
59:46 thankyou for talking about this because p1harmony aren’t treated good enough by fnc.. during deput when intak was only 17 he was heavily sexualised, p1h still to this day get stalked and the company doesn’t seem to be doing anything about it!! Keeho just recently got into a “scandal” because a fan was upset that he ran out of the store away from her because he thought she was stalking him…..(that is so upsetting that he even has to worry about that) Not to mention they have talked about how they only get less than 10 days a YEAR to rest???? That is insane, the guys always talk about how tired they are.
I swear these boys need a NAP because your girl always does 😂 I’m glad that I was able to talk through it and resonate because as much as I appreciate their CB and tracks, man I wish they weren’t teenagers when they debuted because that can really affect you when a company has a terrible track record of taking care of their artists in general
FNC were more known for their rock bands Most famously FT Island and CN Blue The girl group AOA originally started out as a band and later became a more dance based group who gained lots of popular for their cute/sexy choreography and concepts SF9 was the company's first male idol dance focused group The group SF9 was put together on the survival show DOB (Dance or Band) where a band (Honeyst) and a dance crew (SF9) competed against each other and the winning crew got to debut first The company is slso known for its famous actors and TV personalitys which you probably saw in P1harmony's movie
Completely agree with the whole fnc thing! Unfortunately fnc don’t promote p1h so they are very self made… piwon also have a huge problem with stalking and the boys don’t seem to be protected!
Tbh when I found out they were under fnc back in 2020, I was.also so worried for them. I'm a big n.flying fan and there's lots of moments I felt like fnc was iffy as a company. I saw P1harmony on tour may 2024 and they were SOO GOOOD omg. Tbh I think they'll be okay (hopefully)
This is such a great guide, jinius lisa is an excellente piwon content creator! I wanna comment about their ages and debut. I agree 100% with what you said in this video. They're very young! Soul and Jongseob debuted at 15, that's so crazy to me and yes, I will always be against debuting minors, in any industry (child actors, child stars, sports, kpop, etc). This is actually a very hard topic to deal to me, cause P1Haarmony quickly became one of my top favorite kpop groups. I wish they could have debuted later, but they're in an industry that favors youth and energy. And those attributes were also what put them in the place they're now, being part of the succesful kpop groups; in the begining, they were SUPER active. They did a lot of festivals (national and international), a lot of youtube features, a lot of vlogs, etc.; and that they could keep up with it becuase of their young vitality. I'm not saying this is right at all, but I understand the dilema. There're some things that ease my worries _a bit_ . First, the members have come to have a lot of say in the decision making of their work, and that's great and not very usual in the kpop industry. Second, it seems they also have a lot of freedom of speach, which you can see in their lives or even in ther official vlog (there's even a meme of Jiung outraged cause his scene barely showed up in an mv), and this hints a lot about how their company treats them. Third, they're actually the golden group pf FNC. They have the biggest budget, promotions and tours. it's very unfair and sad for the other groups (I actually like FNC groups a lot), but in particular for them is a positive thing 🥴 I think a good video to watch and see all these is their making of the Killin' it album (ruclips.net/video/RU_rt9g-qJo/видео.htmlsi=RdwjpBKUP3HJjxsn) if you're interested. Anyways, long comment but you asked for thoughts and I have a lot and not a lot of conclusions yet 😑 Gonna check your channel now!!

watching this made me realize that my ult bias (jongseob) and my other bias in piwon (jiung) have the same mbti as me. INTJs unite 🙏🏽 as for FNC’s treatment, yeah the company sucks and hardly gives them breaks or time off. they very much do not protect their idols, and piwon is not an exception. i only hope that they’re able to stay safe and happy in the long run. every member is very talented and it’s clear that they enjoy performing and tapping into their own artistry and abilities. piwon will always be my ult group for so many reasons but one of the main ones is their dedication to their craft and their integrity.
FNC is ok but they are overworking P1H rn they literally have no time to rest. Basically they have a comeback and then a tour for that album while already working for the next album/tour. Other groups are getting 1 comeback a year at this point. P1H had 3 comebacks in 2022 and haven’t had a break since. I want FNC to give other groups more comebacks so that P1H can at least have some time off. They debuted Ampers&One last year and they only had 3 albums, only one comeback this year.

When it comes to treatment in K-pop, I don't expect alot. But scince you asked, here's a few things I've noticed; Just the fact that Jongseob almost debuted at 12/13 is enough. In 2020, he was 14, Soul 15, Intak around 16/17, and the rest of them 19 (same birth year). As some comments have mentioned, Intak used to do alot of sexy dances even during rookie era, like he was known for it. Just saying, I've never seen FNC even trying to defend their idols when it comes to rumours. It's also come to my attention that P1Harmony members are *very* weight conscious. I have a feeling it's either company or industry pressure. Their fans never seem to care. . During a behind the scenes video, Theo mentioned how he skipped a dance move which involved kind of shoving down his jacket ("Naneun Superstar" part in Killin' It) because he was wearing a sleeveless shirt underneath and felt like he hadn't worked out enough so his arms weren't built. (Not to mention he's super hot nonetheless.) The other members, and even some P1ece, often joke about how Jongseob is so underweight because he doesn't like working out much. (If I may say, how many 14-18 year olds work out? He's an outstanding rapper, he's doing his job, works every day, why should anybody want to make him feel guiltyfor not working out when he's just a teenager?) Keeho gets made fun of for being "too slim" as well. Most of the time by Theo (since the others are all younger than him). In an interview/drinking show, they were served some really good Ramen, but felt hesitant to eat in case of bloating. Theo carries Pumpkin tea most of the time because it's known for slimming you down. Soul also mentioned being on a diet during a Behind The Scene for Utop1a. He was really happy it was the weekend, because he could only eat salads during weekdays. He's one of the members who gets praised for his figure. (PS: I hot the impression that he limited himself to a diet, not forced technically.) - You can find many interviews and videos where the members either express guilt for not working out, or make other members feel guilty for not working out. Soul doesn't get any lines. Because P1Harmony decide their own line distribution, because of which many fans think he's just bad at Korean. He's been living there since Pre-debut and his Korean is okay (better than many). He just lacks confidence. On their channel, they have a series tagged #P_riends where Soul once mentioned, "I don't like my voice." He also mentioned that during the recent comeback, Sad Song, Jiung wrote "long verses" (no more than 2-3 lines in reality) and in a way forced him to sing more. But instead of trying to encourage him, fans try to justify this saying, "He's not good at Korean," or "He's said it himself, he doesn’t want many lines." Like what are fans for if they can't even encourage him? And let's not talk about how overworked they are. Theo specifically has been bringing it up alot. During the #P_riends series, him and Intak talked about this in detail, saying they were losing their bond with eachother due to the fact that they "only talk about work." In an interview, Theo was asked about one wish, and he said he wants more time to practice/play his guitar. "No time, real. I want time." (Iconic words btw, he said it in a funny way.) During a silly "Interview with Kangroo" video, Jongseob mentioned that he has no time to take care of his health. The others often joke that Jongseob is "always locked up in the studio" for hours on end. In the Behind The Scenes for Sad Song Dance Practice, Theo constantly moaned and complained about how he hated working on his birthday, and pleaded the choreographer for an early day off since it was his special day. Finally, after much pleading, they were finally given off. He said, "On my last birthday, we practised till late. And the birthday before that, we practiced till late. I thought I was gonna practice till late today too, but we got off early, so I'm glad." And I'm not sure, but I think he did mention that "late" meant post-midnight. They had 3 albums straight in 2022. When asked to describe their 2023, Intak said, "Aeroplane," because they were always touring. Keeho once said, "We're always a few steps ahead." And they are, in a concerning way. When Killin' It had just come out, they were about to start a tour in a few days, Jongseob and Soul were seen talking about their next album, Sad Song. (In the P_riends series again. They gave a few spoilers, and this was long before the Sad Song release. Even in a recent video, a Christmas Special show they filmed, they were being told the prices for a game, and Jiung asked, "Can we get a day off?" The staff replied, "I'm not the one who gets to decide that." They're not the worst treated group I know. Though they could be doing better, specially in terms of health. P1Harmony give themselves 0 chances of error. I get the impression that they don't treat themselves like humans. The sad part is that younger members like Jongseob and Soul don't even realise what's being done to them. Theo comes across as a little wiser, on the other hand, and much more bold. Just look at how much of the mistreatment was voiced by him. Anyway, wish them the best. Hope they get a few days off this next year.
