I like these generous mass point maps, the action ramps up really quickly. We are used to seeing the first experimental be a Monkey Lord because they are so cheap, but a GC at sub 20 min is always fun.

I haven't played sup com in years, dunno why youtube suggested this but was a great throwback for me. So many misplays, but then anything over 2v2 always was a nightmare to keep on top of everything. Great commentary regardless

@@TheGouzy90 Just wanna expound on that. How he used carton there is french slang for "hit" or "a hit". The literal translation IS cardboard, but it comes from olden times where they'd use cardboard for target practice. So they'll routinely say "this song is cardboard" meaning "this song is a hit". So he actually was a fan of the map. Idioms are awesome. Like the Mexican "A huevo!" which literally translates to "an egg!" but means "f*** yes!!"
@@BasedEMT1776 When a french says "J'ai fait UN carton" (Iitteraly "I made A cardboard"), it means success indeed for the reasons you explained.
BUT, when a french says "Cette chose EN carton" (litteraly "that thing made OF cardboard"), it means that thing is of bad quality.
Wouldn't be a proper Gyle cast without a zoom in straight onto the GC at 20:14 without a mention till 2 minutes later lol

I liked how M-13 fought to the very end.
Not so much fighting as just having fun. He'd already donated most of this stuff to his ally before they went caput and it came back. At that point he'd already given up and just decided he'd have some fun with the teleporter until their eventual victory.
I'm so frustrated at that paragon play. He had TONS of engineers south that he could have immediately started work on another paragon. First rule of building a paragon - You build another one as soon as you finish the first one.
not to mention the 5 dozen engineers at the paragon that sat AFK rather than spamming shields
@@KoreHuman Those 5 dozen idle engines where set to assist that one shield which is how that paragon lasted more then one artillery volley.
@@chainingsolid you'll notice not all of them were assisting..... Most of them were assigned to build other Shields but they kept tripping over themselves so they couldn't
@@chainingsolid He would have lasted longer if he spammed shields with all that build power, it would have taken 3 seconds to build each T3 shield. He would have had 10-12 shield gens up by the second or third volley. These guys are playing like noobs despite their high ranking which makes no sense. And those four GC's that was sent without anti-air envoy hurt my soul. WTF was that? You always send anti-air units and mobile shield gens with GC's.
Any day is a good day when there is a new Gyle cast!

It's frustrating to see people, who are clearly good macro players, rush a sub 20min experimental out only to attack move it to it's immediate death. That first GC from orange accomplished almost nothing for team 2, but was a huge gift of free mass for team 1. Waiting until the GC had some support vs. gunships or just skirmishing with it at mid would have been much better than trying to ram it down the throat of a 6 player team that could clearly counter it with air.

Suggestion for FAF: Boneyards Total Annihilation galactic war equivalent. It could be as simple as tracking wins by faction and moving a needle every week based on those numbers. Let's see which faction is actually better.

I'll say it again, the first 6 people to make an actual squad/guild in this game will singlehandedly change the meta. Imagine all 6 of the team's coms marching as a unit, mutually upgrading, reclaiming, and headhunting. There is zero percent chance that would fail it's first time, and every other time until the next team follows suit for defense.
