It's one of those things that unless you have ever happened to stumble into a situation where you end up doing it, you don't know how amazing it is. Converting a huge amount of really boring potential energy stored in a heavy rock sitting up high doing nothing, into the same huge amount of awesome kinetic energy that you can see and hear being released.
