  • I got this idea from Tik Tok. It's the trend to upload photos from childhood to now. So, I thought of doing this for Teresa Teng. I have some of her photos which have not been published before and some which are rare.
I wondered if I should use her signature tunes like 'When will you come again,' 'The moon represents my heart,' 'Honey Sweeet' or other hits. It occurred to me that she is an eternal songstress. So, I decided to use the much-covered song originally sung by Zhou Xuan. I hope her fans will like this. Teresa never did record this song in any of her albums but this is a live recording performed during her 1982 concert in Hong Kong.

TT had had 5 suitors, 3 of them almost resulted in marriage but failed at the last minute. One suitor died of a heart attack in 1978.
When she cried singing the song "Goodbye My Love" at the Lee Theatre live concert in Hong Kong in 1976. It must be her memories of that first guy that made her cry. The tragedy of Cathay Pacific's flight was in June 1972 when Zhu Jian died visiting her. He was a close friend during her early days in Life Records taking care of her in many ways. Those days, her mom always travelled with her. In 1972, Teresa Teng was 19 years old when she first came to Singapore, Malaysia and S.E. Asia.
Her engagement to Beau Kuok, son of Malaysia's Sugar King, Robert Kuok was probably the most well-known of her tragic romances. TT had already decided to fade out of the entertainment industry slowly with a series of farewell concerts
The wedding banquet was originally scheduled to be held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore on March 17, 1982. Unexpectedly, Beau Kuok’s grandmother suddenly proposed three conditions: First, to ask Teresa Teng to clarify her personal information; second, to leave the entertainment industry immediately after marrying into the Guo family and lastly cut off all contact with friends in the entertainment circle. Consequently, Teresa Teng reluctantly broke up with Guo Kongcheng, and this relationship ended on a sad note.
In an interview with the media, Teresa Teng's younger brother Deng Changxi revealed: In fact, Teresa was going to quit the show business. But she felt that it was not right for Matriarch Kuok to demand it as a condition for marrying her grandson. It would be an act of humiliation, so she refused to accept the old lady’s condition. (That she had to write out her list of lovers etc i.e., declare her personal life, so that the Kuok family will not be exposed to future blackmail due to her prior affairs.)
After the Tiananmen Incident (1989) she was deeply affected, she spent time in France and met Paul who did not know her superstar status. She enjoyed the company of someone who treated her like an ordinary person and a romance started. Her fans and family members objected but to me, it's her personal happiness that mattered. On May 8th, 1995, she passed away in Thailand while there on holiday with Paul.
On 28th May 1995, Teresa was given a state funeral in Taiwan, with the Republic of China flag draped over her coffin and the former president Lee Teng-hui in attendance among thousands in mourning. (If you wish, check out my RUclips channel CanaanOptical. Title of the clip is Love Without End)

@@roselim8680 I hardly ever travel. This trip I visited my cousins on my dad's side of the family. Dad came alone so all his siblings (my uncles and aunts) were in China. I only managed to see my cousins, their children and grandchildren in Guangdong and Hong Kong. (Those of my dad's generation are no more.) My cousins took me to visit my grandparents' grave. I've never met them before. My dad passed away when I was 9. He came to Malaysia when he was 19 and never stepped on homeland soil again. Actually he had planned to bring us all back as a family some day. My grandmother passed away not knowing that my dad had left the world. By the time I met my cousins, they already have lots of children and grandchildren.

    说到修养是给别人过安静安宁生活不是天天骚扰我过安宁生活更不是天天做恶业害到别人过超级不舒适生活然后一直当透明还一直怪受害。他太高调做人。他该放过别人而不该一直乱说别人不放过自己
