OBS! This video came out just as the developers came back from New Years break, and they seem to have changed up how spawns work somewhat. I'll do more testing as soon as I can get back in the game and make sure to update this and make disclaimers as I find out more. For now, it seems that rarer resources can be found within granite and basalt, so mass-harvesting those can now lead to a steady stream of copper and my wish for some randomization in spawn timers seem to have been granted :D I'm excited that the developers are this quick in implementing updates and progression across so many features of the game
The glories of Alpha testing! 😂 Still, even if everything is different once we’re let back into the servers, I still Think this guide works decently to explain how to Think when figuring out the New system. Hopefully that’ll stem the kind of misinformation we had this first part of phase 2 😄
Oh I agree! But I proclaim the bug exception! The tree was, unfortunately, not harvestable - which was heartbreaking 😭 - but quite funny to see the amount of people going up to it and left disappointed. Every 2-3 minutes in hours of uncut footage, some poor person Got a case of the Weeping Willow Blues from trees like that one 😂
For the trees, or at least weeping willow, it's 4 hours on the dot. There's some interesting things that can happen with server restarts and a particular node, however. I have made a lot farming willows this way and with metals doing what you outlined here. Solid video.
Ohh, that Will be glorious. 40 copper nodes in close-ish proximity with decently fast respawns, but dangerous mobs and PvP? Also, mines like that could be cool to node War over. Say it makes the mobs into guards for the Winning node. So many cool possibilities!
@MookChivalry maybe as the node levels up, but I like the idea of there being a constant hostile force. That would demand more than just resource grabbing. You'd have to hire protection or designate a group within your guild for security against mobs and potential players.
FYI: I found a legendary x5 Tin node on Monday, I farmed it consistently every 2hrs but it changed to a granite (grey x2) after 8 harvests. No downtime during this window.
Yeah, that’s what I Think of as the 24-48 hour shuffling of nodes. It doesn’t Seem to happen simultaniously everywhere, but rather each node seems (seemed, when I recorded the video) to have it’s own day-Long timer before it rerolls/shuffles into spawning something else. And as I mentioned at the end, that change into granite at the end might be a sign of the way they’ll implement reduced rarespawns in overharvested nodes 😄
At least you Will always, as a person actively testing stuff out, get a headstart before everyone else gets the info. ;P My biggest hope for my guide videos is for people to learn the though process behind what the video is about since, as you point out, the methods Will always become less attractive as they become common knowledge :D
Hi, rough week to perform this test as there is currently a massive rarity bug the team is working on to cause more randomness to spawn locations and rarity
Yeah. I did my testing back around New years, but I’ll redo the tests once they’ve implemented that New randomization fully and it’s had some time to settle. 😄
Yeah, probably :/ Though an Update should have gone through today that helps some on that. I’ve heard reports that people find a lot more spawns now. 😄
Makes sense. I’ve seen a bunch of screenshots from people I trust that have gotten multiple yields. One of Them was legendary rubies along common basalt, which is pretty funny xD
Probably, but I Think it’s difficult to efficiently bot. The respawn timer might be precise, but it starts individually from each node, so the bot would have to constantly run around and be able to Mark Down locations it *has* to be back at at certain times, while dodging highlevel mobs. Cheaters are crafty, but easy is a decent anti-cheat engine, so it should probably be fine 😄
I was trying to find willow trees yesterday. I found one chopped it. And a couple min later it respawned. It happens with copper sometimes too. Itll just respawn in front of me after I mine it. Have you noticed that?
Yeah, but only a couple of times and the nodes then took the appropriate amount of time to respawn after that. This made me believe that I was just there for the node “shuffling”, and that it just randomly shuffled to the same type of node. However, I’m still held up IRL and haven’t done a good test since the “copper Can drop from basalt” patch. That might have changed the spawntime rules as well. 🤓
Yeah! Ironically (I haven’t been on to test it yet) it seems that might just have happened recently with the Update that gave us chances for rare resources as bonus drops from granite/basalt nodes 😄

I love how quickly these things change haha

2:18 leaving that willow tree untouched should be a criminal offence in Verra. 🤣

Incredible research. I’m subbing. Great work!
Thank you! I’m excited to re-do it as the system evolves 😄
I appreciate the work you put into this, thank you very much for this. Awesome helpful information.
Thank you for the kind words ❤️

Thanks and good info on the willows. Can’t wait to test it for myself 😄
Doing the lords work. lvl 40 Miner p1 and currently 25 p2. I've made lots of observations and your data confirms a lot of it.Great video!
Happy to hear it! Especially from someone as veteran as you! 😄
@@MookChivalry Something you should know about me Joe Rogan... I mine rocks.
Rock and stone!
Big Copper is going to hate this video - love your patience and thanks for sharing
You’re welcome. 😄
Give me mines that are pvp flagged and filled with mobs already. I want to organize and manage mine runs with the bois

@KenStarwind true. To me it isn’t an either/or. Both kinds of mines could exist.
I Think the FFA variant you suggest is really cool 😄
@MookChivalry true, true. As a node expands, some of the mines become protected so players can get the lower levels mats easily.
True, that’s also a cool idea!

Thank you to share it! i think this work for trees too!
Oh? I expected it not to. What timers do you believe they’re on? 😄
This is why we cannot find any , there all camped as we thought . We need more spawns of these .
Yeah, probably :/
Though an Update should have gone through today that helps some on that. I’ve heard reports that people find a lot more spawns now. 😄
Afaik there are nodes that can spawn all t1 resources but not all nodee are like that. There is only a handful of those
Yeah, I agree and speak of those at the end of the video just after the “shuffling” mechanic. 😄
They just updated the stone nodes today so now basic stone has a chance to drop copper, zinc or Ruby
An absolutely fantastic change. Blessed be the ducks!
@@MookChivalry This being said... I have hit over 70 nodes and not found a single metal ore yet so it's hard to say

bot farmers are already preparing for these nodes.

100% they need to add random ticks to spawning nodes and their size and rarity. It's ridiculous that they are all on a hard timer.
Yeah! Ironically (I haven’t been on to test it yet) it seems that might just have happened recently with the Update that gave us chances for rare resources as bonus drops from granite/basalt nodes 😄
Please don't monopolize resources like that ugh
I agree that that is annoying - which is why I’m arguing for change that would make that impossible to do. 😉
