Every woman wants to freedom but due to social stigma, family restrictions and lack of social security not live to life fully freedom if we wants to women's remain secure than we should try to change social mind set,to provide equal rights every fields , give to well education and provide security at work place for women.if we can do this than we found that Gandhi statement -"real independence would be when a woman in this country can walk around on the streets alone at midnight"will be true Thanks to rstv
Gender gap is actually not a gender gap but it's a social responsibility gap. Women want freedom from social stigma. Social stigma also not good for male. I think women is not a male counter part, not antonyms but male and female are complementary part.
Being Frank , Indian film system has a big responsibility in portraying an overrated role for issues like love and marriage This create a subtile picture in every viewers especially women that those are final aims And this marriage is seen as final settlement. We Indians need to cherish individual abilities and our education system etc needed to orient students especially girls to get into jobs which they are suited for
just one thing I would like to point out is that the panel should consist of at least two women members. because that's what is happening in real life as well. men are discussing issues of women which actually misses the real essence of the debate. just my view.debate is nice as always.
We need to talk about safer working environment as well more than the self drive as "women return" sounds good but that doesn't work without better safer n helpful working environment.
I suggest all Indian states to learn from experience of kerala Here we have women SHG like kudumbasree Which has transformed lakhs of lives and empowered women economically and politically Read about how kudumbasree influenced women empowerment in kerala It will be good for all civil service aspirants for mains and interviews
@@abhinavnagar007 Yes it's a fact But the matriarchal system was only followed by Nair caste of hindus Rest christians, muslims, and other sections of hindhu like brahmins followed patriarchy
In political arena, how do we expect more women representatives when the politics in India is 'Gunday centred' most politicians have criminal records, in particular instigating the violence in Society for political benefits. In that kind of political environment we cannot expect more women representatives.
We always talk about patriarchal mindset need to be changed but I LL say women mindset need to be changed ,they have to realize that they ve capacity to do great things without the support of men ,if they start thinking like ,we LL bridge the gender gap easily ,this is the fact .
More and more representation of women in political sphere is the primary precondition for bridging this gender gap.. Anyways, it was a nice multidimensional debate 👌
Mam ,it is the women who need to be well aware of her development rather than confining to just home and children i think it is the 1st step in reducing gender gap. Many women are still in myth in this patriarchal society acting as a responsible wife, mother . Not knowing their potentials to reach zenith in their life.
That is because of the social and cultural expectations about specific role of women in families. Women didn't, out of blue, decide oh let's sit back at home and/or stay disempowered
I think this debate was wonderful.RSTV should bring people from diverse background while discussing any topic. Normally, speakers are somehow not much diverse.
Boys even this program is brought to us on some special occasion but, I can say that this issue is going to be very crucial for this year. Bcs of some recent decisions in govt sector like permanent commission in forces and economic perspective. Need to learn key factors like - 1. Sector wise equality and way forward 2. Health and social believe 3. Economic perspective for new India etc. etc.
How can the world progress nd evolve if it continues to deprive the other part of humanity ! We all as an aware citizens of this new global era need to stop making rhetoric nd do what is needed at the individual level each day...only then this equality gap will close. .

All this gender gap issue is overrated according to me. Yes issues are there in informal sector. But it is perceived that men earn much more in formal sector because some men earn a lot and not because there is discrimination. For example People occupying top positions in corporates are generally from IITs which are largely dominated by men. Now I don't know the reason for that because in other exams like upsc women are doing good if not better. The number of male undertrials and in jail is much more than female. Does not mean there is discrimination.
Thank God !! Women's Day saved us from constant Pak centered debates....

u covered good fact.
The stat at 10:15 has been taken out of context. Women have lesser pay because they choose to go for lesser paying jobs.

Discussion was sub-par...only one panelist (shailaja Chandra ma'am) gave substantial points..even the host was very opinionated..
Excatly! Sunil Goel hardly answered to the point(apart from speaking about flexible hours )
