  • Restaurant style beef karahi is a flavorful, quick-to-cook dish that’s a staple in traditional cuisine. Known for its simplicity, it is prepared with minimal ingredients, allowing the natural flavors of the meat and spices to shine.
    Ingredients:
    • 1 kg beef (boneless or with bones, cut into small pieces)
    • 3 medium tomatoes (chopped or blended)
    • 2 medium onions (optional, sliced thinly)
    • 1 cup cooking oil or ghee
    • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
    • 1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
    • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
    • 1 teaspoon garam masala
    • 1-2 green chilies (sliced)
    • Salt to taste
    • Fresh coriander (chopped) for garnish
    • Julienned ginger for garnish
    Cooking Steps:
    1. Heat Oil: In a cooker heat oil over medium heat.
    2. Sauté Onion & Meat: Add onion, beef and ginger-garlic. Stir and cook until the meat changes color.
    3. Cook Tomatoes: Add the chopped tomatoes, along with salt, red chili powder, turmeric, and Mix well. Add a cup of yogurt.
    4. Pressure Cook: Cook on high to medium heat for 15 minutes (or until the beef is tender), stirring occasionally.
    5. Dry the Gravy: Once the beef is cooked and tender, increase the heat to medium-high to evaporate excess moisture, stirring until the oil separates from the masala.
    6. Final Touches: Add black pepper, cumins & coriander powder and mix well.
    7. Garnish: Top with julienned ginger, chopped coriander leaves, green chillies before serving dusting kasuri methi.
    Serving:
    Serve hot with naan or roti. This simple beef karahi is perfect for any occasion, offering a rich and flavourful taste of Pakistani cuisine.
