The actress who played Polly passed away from cancer before they can finish season 6 episodes. She was battling cancer in secret. Only her husband knew.
I think it would have been fair to tell them about the death of Helen McCrory who played Pol beforehand, it’s not a spoiler as everyone who watched the series first time around knew about it and knew it would have to be dealt with from the outset.
Someone would've been like "Oh she died before the series ended" or something, which would've made it easy to figure out she wasn't in the entire show. There's always that person that goes a little to far when explaining something in comments lol.
Funny story, I started this show after season 5 had aired but before season 6 was announced. I thought the end of season 5 was tbe last episode... imagine if that was the ending... Tommy with a gun to his head
Tommy has been suicidal from the beginning. It's a large part of why he does what he does. He just hasn't encountered a man who can put him out of his misery.

The actress who plays Pol, tragically died young from pancreatic cancer. A truly awful disease. Very sad.
It was breast cancer
They couldn't show her face because Helen had passed away at that time. RIP..
pols actor, Helen McCrory, died from cancer and so they had to find a way to write her out of the story. she was a fantastic actor
Season 6 came to Netflix on June 10, my birthday. Pretty good gift! 🙌🏻
There is a legit 1 minute of silence in this episode dedicated for Helen. RIP.
RIP Helen McCrory, she was also in the harry potter franchise

Dno if you’s remembered but Mr Jones was the name Micheal said he’d give to Tommy when he tried “restructuring” the company last season
This season has some of the most insane moments of the show. The writers did well.

Polly is dead because she died of cancer in real life.
RIP Helen McCrory. Aunt Pol was the heart and soul of the show.

I wonder if Uncle Jack is a nod to John F. Kennedy's father Joseph Kennedy. He was a bootlegger IRL so maybe?
