Hi, I've watched your 2series of interviewing a VA. I must say that I've got a lot of takeaways and insights gained watching your interviews.😊 Though I must say, also, (not being a Karen here), that what I see as a downside was your view of the VA wanting to look for other clients/jobs. Here in the Phils, we have expenses too. In the UK, your average monthly expense is what, 900pounds for one person. Here in the Phils, the ave.monthly expense for one person only is estimated to be 430+ pounds, + more if they're living with their fam. Your offering to your applicant is P26,000, or 400pounds. So you see why the need to look for another job. Just like the reality of most individuals living in London having or wanting to do multiple jobs..to cover up expenses. I understand that you want the best for your client. But when hiring a VA, if you want a value added performance, and this is vital, understand their culture, and be able to compensate in accordance to the role you have need of. Afterall, as compare to, if you'll hire a VA residing in London, you'll be able to save half in the salary cost already. Please know that not because WE, wanting to have additional clients, that our performance required to us is going to be affected. Atleast I can say that for myself. All I'm saying is, if you want a focused-only-to-one-client-VA and one that can deliver a rockstar performance, offer what is due. That is the win-win model. And $4 will not suffice.😊
Hi Lala, good point let me answer your points based from my experience running the academy and to my 100 VAs. 1. We offer a fulltime work and there is no other company who offer fulltime job that would want their employees to be employed to another employer. There's a saying that you can't serve to two masters. No matter how diligent a VA is, there is still a chance that they will not perform 100% if they can't commit 100% due to another employer. 2. My offer is just the salary, being a VA here in Fast track, we offer lots and different incentive scheme to motivate our VAs to work better and it really pays a lot doing that because theoretically, that's how you motivate an employee. I also believe that not all VAs has a set-up of living with there family, the point that we offer home-based jobs makes them save more cash for their needs as they will not need to commute anymore. If the salary we offer is not enough, we respect that we are not the company for them but to think that we offer this amount of salary for a home based job is considered a decent one in your country. 3. Remember that the salary of the VA will also come from the profits they are making in their performance, to be safe and to make sure that our VA will have salary, we should make sure that they are performing well because it's from them too. 4. Also, as a business strategy, hiring from Philippines saves us a lot of funds since our currency has a high conversion in your country. I don't think it is feasible to hire from UK too because the amount that we offer for the VA in the Philippines is just a fraction of the usual salary here. 5. I've been selling on Amazon for years and have VAs too. Now I have almost 100 VAs and I can say that what you're saying is not the same from their situation nor perspective about the job and the performance. I have a AA who is working for me for four years already. If what you're saying is correct, I think I wouldn't have a VA working for me for four years. 6. Lastly, we have a ton of applicants waiting for our response, I think that alone proves my point here. You can also try to read some of the comments here. You have a good point but try to balance things first. See it from a perspective of applicant and from a perspective of an employer too. At the end of the day, if the VA does not want to work from us, then why would they apply in the first place? Thank you.

It's nice to be just watching the interview itself than being myself in that seat. I know exactly how it feels. You just want to tell everything spill it all and say just, "Please Hire me, I know I can do the job." Interview have always been like a make it or break moment for all aspiring applicant, we always want to make sure we deliver well.

I've learned so much from this interview videos. It's not all about the experiences you had (thats a plus) but also, the most important is how genuine you are towards the job you are applying to. Get their trust not their symphaty and be thankful to the opportunity that they will give you. I've been working two jobs for a while now: one part-time, which requires 4-5 hours of work per day, and one full-time job. Both of these positions allow me to work from home, and they don't overlap. My schedule typically involves working from 2 pm to 11 pm and then from midnight to either 4 am or 5 am, Monday through Friday. I've been maintaining this dual work arrangement for over five years. During my interview for the part-time job, I was upfront about also holding a full-time position. Neither of these jobs offers flexible working hours, so punctuality is crucial, and I always make sure to log in on time. As long as I meet the client's expectations and deliver tasks effectively, I don't foresee any issues. Many of us Filipinos strive to earn more to provide a better life for our families. Ultimately, it's the client's choice whether they're comfortable hiring someone who holds another job or not. Just be honest when applying :)
This a good video and content. It will help a lot of aspiring applicants to prepare and be honest while in the interview. It is not all about an experience, the values and trustworthiness of an applicant matters. I hope I can be in an interview with you Tom. It would be nice experience.
I am passionate about teaching..and I"ve been doing it for so long ..and I'm still doing it. However, I am so excited to be a virtual assistant...and I am quite positive that I will become one ...I believe in this industry ...so I think that the first guy you interviewed can also make it ..good luck to him ...in this modern world .it"s ok and it"s possible to love 2 jobs at the same time ...
I wish you we’re the one who interviewed me haha, I watched part 1 & 2 but just had my initial interview and the questions mainly focused on my experience in my previous job ( like ..what did you do when you didn’t know something at work,??etc.. ) the girl was like so not in the mood from the beginning but I kept it professional. Even though I know I answered everything and shes intimidating me by acting irritated at me from the start I know I won’t pass coz of the attitude.

How do you control the time? I have hired two VA's first was good but disappeared after two months of training the second was good at first then the work degraded badly. mistakes were becoming more common and then tried to claim 7 hrs of work to post 5 pins on Pinterest, they didn't even need to create them. My concern is that how do you judge the amount of work to tie it in with the time being paid for. It seems you have to trust them but it's easy for them to work 2 jobs on your income
Hi mate, I really felt bad you experience that with your VAs. Investing in people requires us to learn management techniques. In my Amazon business, I don't micromanage them even the amount of time they work as long as they can give me the output I set. I also engage a good communication set up with them. In our clients with Fast Track FBA, clients can raise help with us for us to talk with their VA which came from us if the VA is performing badly, moreover, we have an exclusive FB group and Monday live sessions to raise your concerns about VA.

How can I know if i passed your final test sir? I took the initial demo test and I moved forward to final test. After i finished the exams it prompted wait for 2 weeks - i forgot the exact prompted words

Why do you need money? Why do you work 2 jobs? All boils down to money. The Philippines is a third world country we constantly need money. It's normal for us to work hard. We work all over the world doing hard odd jobs. Working remotely is very beneficial. No commute, more money in our pocket. You wont need to buy expensive food. Most of the time it does not matter if work is boring what matters is that we have food on our table. That's the reality for most Filipinos.

When it comes to online or retail arbitrage , I understand there are two ways of purchasing the items , those are directly from the store and sending them to amazon , and secondly ordering them online from a retailer. If I find an item from a supplier online , and decide to purchase a quantity of the same items to sell on amazon , do I send the items directly to my Address and then to amazon? Or would I send the products directly to the amazon warehouse directly from the supplier ?? Secondly as a complete beginner , in terms of money , how much would I need to invest initially as a minimum ?

How do you control the time? I have hired two VA's first was good but disappeared after two months of training the second was good at first then the work degraded badly. mistakes were becoming more common and then tried to claim 7 hrs of work to post 5 pins on Pinterest, they didn't even need to create them. My concern is that how do you judge the amount of work to tie it in with the time being paid for. It seems you have to trust them but it's easy for them to work 2 jobs on your income
Hi mate, I really felt bad you experience that with your VAs. Investing in people requires us to learn management techniques. In my Amazon business, I don't micromanage them even the amount of time they work as long as they can give me the output I set. I also engage a good communication set up with them. In our clients with Fast Track FBA, clients can raise help with us for us to talk with their VA which came from us if the VA is performing badly, moreover, we have an exclusive FB group and Monday live sessions to raise your concerns about VA.

Hey Tom... I can't help but thing the lady worker that wanted to work remotely was a good candidate. If I were to grab a VA from you, I think I would be happy with her...
The last lady with the 3 kids (not 12) was a definite though
And lastly... I would sometimes have different sourcing tasks to add to just the copy and paste manual sourcing... I think I could create a bit of variety to their daily/weekly workload...

Why do you need money? Why do you work 2 jobs? All boils down to money. The Philippines is a third world country we constantly need money. It's normal for us to work hard. We work all over the world doing hard odd jobs. Working remotely is very beneficial. No commute, more money in our pocket. You wont need to buy expensive food. When it comes to online or retail arbitrage , I understand there are two ways of purchasing the items , those are directly from the store and sending them to amazon , and secondly ordering them online from a retailer. If I find an item from a supplier online , and decide to purchase a quantity of the same items to sell on amazon , do I send the items directly to my Address and then to amazon? Or would I send the products directly to the amazon warehouse directly from the supplier ?? Secondly as a complete beginner , in terms of money , how much would I need to invest initially as a minimum ?
Great qustion. You would need to send to your house first. Amazon needs some very specific labels on the stock otherwise it goes missing.
