- The 71st in my Retro Goa Explorations series of videos in which I present some of my favourite 'Goa Trance' tracks from the '90s.
In this series, I go back to my first experiences in the Goa Trance electronic dance music movement starting in late 1994, drawing upon my recollections of hearing specific music at certain events and using my classical music background explore the elements that I believe make these tracks so great.
The series is currently focused on music I first encountered in the '96-97 season, starting in September 1996, when I moved to London. The track presented in this episode is the first time I'm featuring this still-very-active artist in this series, in the first solo track of his that I encountered, a brilliant work that I first encountered on a compilation I purchased in the Autumn of 1996: Close Zen Counters by legendary producer Tristan. After I give some background about the artist and the music, I present the track simultaneously with my observations; after some closing remarks, I then share it without my commentary.

Aquatec released some very strange music especially vinyl only stuff, however i really like this compilation. This and the Faction track is a real gem. Thanks for sharing
KEEP ON THE VIDS MAN WAS WATING TO SEE THIS TYPE OF REACTIONS
Oh what a track
Thanks Mark
That was my very first close encounter with the Tristan kind
Beautiful evolution from that chatter in the beginning to euphoric celebration
Got to listen this on a massive sound system
Just a brilliant track!!
Most triumphant!!
Awesome! You could probably pitch this down nicely as well
I found this series today and cannot quite express how much I appreciate it! I’m over the moon that there are 70 more episodes!! So I’m starting with the first one and go through in sequence as of next video I’m watching.
Thrilled you found the series and are on the journey … looking forward to your thoughts!
And today...
This track holds a special part in my heart
What a TUNE! My fave from Tristan and one of his best, IMO. Great momentum, energy and super spaced-out sounds. SO GOOD.

What a blessing !! ❤❤❤
