Got the tie rod to pop loose but couldn’t get the one on the bar to free. Torched it, used pullers, hammered on it, pry bar, nothing. I gave up and put everything back together. I feel very defeated.
No, the only thing we did there was be mindful of it dropping so leave two corners loosely bolted so you can have one hand holding the pan and one taking those bolts out by hand.
@@theweekendworks5058 thank you you. That tool you used in the beginning to pop out screw after you took the bolt out do i have to do that as well on the 5.3 ? And if i do so can i just hit it with a hammer to pop it out
@@ThePtown91 you might be able to get it with a hammer, but those style of joints are a real bear. Depending on what's available around you, you can likely borrow a joint puller kit from a local auto parts store to use for the day.

Appreciate the explanation of how to undo the oil level plug. Did you undo the pan bolts in reverse order of the torque sequence ?

Awd 6.0 or rwd 5.3 escalade?
AWD 6.0, oil pan should about the same for the 5.3 but less in the way with the rwd.
