Am I the only one who noticed that many people crucified Logano for his Darlington win, but now they call it acceptable because of the tussle between Hamlin and Byron in this race? Then again, Byron squeezed the 22 into the wall in a similar fashion to what the 11 did to him here at Texas and Logano got payback by punting the 24 under green and on the closing laps, but still.

Uh Chris denny did race him up the race track. As far as darlington goes it was during a restart and Byron was the leader and a lot of times you have to be aggressive on the restart if it was the other way around on the restart Joey would be just as aggressive it’s a double standard that Joey whines and cries about everyone else but wrecks people to win and to win a championship. Oh but Joey doesn’t do any wrong right? lol give me a break. Matt kenseth did a good job getting cry baby Joey back. But it didn’t teach him a lesson. Joey proclaims to be a God almighty Christian but nothing but double standard hypocrite the way I see it!!!!

They make a mistake or by accident squeezes some one in the wall or accidentally turn them but it's no problem its just hard racing.But as soon as it's done to them they throw a tantrum. And honestly it doesn't matter if it's a restart or not both guys made the same mistake by squeezing the other guy into the wall.

Rules are rules and Hamlin shouldn't have gotten his position back. At the same time, Byron not getting penalized is a joke, especially after seeing his in car and his comments post race. Junior was jock riding his former employer in his commentary on the incident.

24 should have been penalized… nascar just gave permission for anybody to basically spin the car In front if you under yellow if they are faster…. Cause they can’t get the spot back….between tires and this bs… nascar has got serious problems on their hands
What if someone wins a championship using this method? At the very least they should have made Bowman restart behind Hamlin as a penalty.

Byron admitted immediately after the race that he was "pissed" and that he intentionally went after Hamlin during the yellow. NASCAR admitted that they should've addressed it at that time, and that it would've been handled differently, had they looked at the on-board video from the 24 car.
I've been a Hendrick fan for 25 years, but NASCAR must be consistent with any incidents of retaliation that occur during a caution period. At a minimum, Byron should've been sent to the back of the pack, and Hamlin should've been allowed to return to the position he held prior to be spun out by Byron.
Once again, top NASCAR officials fail to make the correct call when they are faced with a little bit of a pressure situation. (Similar to their handling of the rain situation at Daytona)

Whatever happened to “positions are frozen at the moment of caution”. Not a Denny fan, but it’s pretty common sense to put Hamlin back in second at green flag.

Not unless you are part of a wreck/spinout and clearly they deemed Hamlin as a spin out. You don't see cars who are lightly damaged in the big one at Daytona go back for 6th place or wherever they were previously.

Holding him up for 3 laps I watched at Nashville in the Xfinity race the 38 hold the 45 up for 15 laps. 3 laps isn’t the worst punishment. Getting tight under someone and you getting washed up the track if it was Kyle Busch everyone would lose there 💩

There doesn’t need to be anything further from Hamlin though, he started it. If you’ve noticed, Byron, to this point, hasn’t done anything to retaliate to Logano. So, nice try with your hypocrisy at its finest.
I'm not a fan of Denny, but he did lift and got off of Byron to give him a chance to save it. Byron stayed in it and straight drove Logano into the wall. Logano had to run Byron down under green to pay him back, while Byron had to wait until under caution to dump Hamlin. Dumping someone in the closing laps racing for a win is also a lot more widely accepted than dumping guys under caution.
Ross is gonna buy Byron a nice steak dinner for getting Dennis all pissy about somebody new this late in the playoffs.

Watch Byron's in car. He had ample opportunity to avoid Hamlin...2 to 3 seconds into the caution and he ran right into the back of Hamlin, at speed. Byron barely lifted when the caution came out.

You heard Jr say it. You saw the flame out of the exhaust. Denny got loose, from the 19, lifted, and never touched the 24. Even still thats not even close to equal to spinning someone under yellow. Not even close.

Surely under caution means you hold your position from when the pace car comes out . So you ease off a bit and cruise until the pace car buggers off . Getting shoved around under caution I've never seen float . Anywhere . I've seen drivers banned for praying about during yellow flag but not discussed . I've not watched NASCAR for a long while ( none of your business) when did differences stop being sorted out in the pits ?

I’m no fan of Hamlin but this was not acceptable decision making on the part of NASCAR. They need to make some changes to the rules to accommodate someone getting clearly, deliberately dumped by another driver. Byron should have been sent in for a stop and go penalty at the very least.

I record some of the races. Then later I buzz thru them in about 15 minutes with the sound off. Can’t handle Burton screaming from begining to end. Really not needed. I watch 3 full races now. Lost interest in the NASCARs 1 car fits all format. 👎👎👎

Nascar has really become a joke!!! Anytime a wreck happens theres always several different angles of it no matter where it happens on the track. Someone at the front of the field gets dumped under caution and somehow theres no clear shot of it?? Been watching since the late 70s and the product on that's being presented now absolutely sux!!!

I'm not a fan of either driver. But what the 25 did to the 11 under the yellow is no different then what the 11 tried to do to the 24 under the same yellow. So what the 24 saved it and the 11 didn't. The 24 got a 25 point penalty and the 11 got nothing. The 11 should have gotten a point penalty as well.
These kinds of things is the reason denny will never be a champion
