The rain and thunder really start to kick in around the 14:45 mark.
I think the thunder really adds to it, i was listening to this as background noise and thought you just added a layer of white noise to the video

Hoo, thunder and rain. We had huge rain last night, 8" and up. Flash floods and such many parts of the city. Nothing too bad at my place, but the news footage is rough.

I do the video segments for some close-up videos with my phone. I don't do them all this way because they take at least twice as long to edit and produce as my normal videos. Most days, I simply don't have that much free time.
