In my opinion I think economic problem which our country is facing right now is bigger than our government itself so I suggest it would be better for us zambians to work hand in hand together with our government to stabilize our economy rather than just putting the blame on our top leaders❤ one zambia 🇿🇲 one nation

The moment Zambians will learn or realize that good things do not come overnight, we will appreciate and yield development that is sustainable. Also, whenever you have got negatives in your pocket, learn to sacrifice to patch up the leaking pocket. This is exactly what the government is doing.
I agree , it’s like inheriting a beautiful house from your parents but everyday you have pipo knocking on the door because your parents owes so much, today Philip wants 100k, Musonda wants his 30k , Mavuto wants he’s 500 k , carol wants her 300k ,you have to come up with a plan to pay these people or you assets will ceased . We can not go back to borrowing money to fund subsidies,

Costa interview is not a debate but extracting information for the benefit of the listeners. Give your guest to answer the questions you ask. Being interruptive is not robust.
That's my problem with him too, the guy gets too happy on the cameras. He doesn't understand that decision making progress takes time. Zyabuyangaa ezi zyacita. He should adapt better through the conversation.

The President himself would have been a better pick for this interview. The questions asked were good but too technical for the VP.

Her response to subsidy was true. Zambia can not sustain subsidy. the debt the PF left was beyond abnormal

Mr. Moderator please ask question in such a way that answered fully. Limit interruptions. Do not ask and answer yourself.
As a borrowing nation, we should accept that IMF does dictate us the dos and dont's . We are not economically independent and i believe outsiders have a role to play in keeping us grounded. They contributed to the PF regime borrowing knowing so well that the next regime no matter how well they will be prepared to run the govt, they will not do so without borrowing. And it has come to pass. Above all, we have our leaders to blame.
How do we solve the problem? Is blaming our leaders going to yield us anything?

Our vice president is indeed fully involved in the economic liberation of our country. She is not just there for nothing and this gives me confidence in the new dawn government.
Questions were sent to her in advance. She sat with technocrats and the answers are on them papers she is holding.

Lets avoid pre recorded programs as much as possible when dealing with the national agenda. Having preselected callers sends a picture of both media and government having an influence on the community from which they can get questions and responds adequately. A media House is a research House, hence it should have no influence on the callers. Therefore, I advice that next interview should be live direct from the studio and not prerecorded then aired like today. God bless Zambia and the media personnel.

Excuse after excuse won't solve the economic hardships,zambian have been very patience with the new dawn government but the question is for how long when your government came into power knew the environment was already on substage. Should we agree we have a leadership crisis on the continent because many zambian's hope is drained if not complete but to lower rate.Its high time to we stop defending ourselves when are governing contrary to what you promised while in opposition.Citizens are asking a fair question to the government through your promises while in opposition.

Instead of trying so hard to earn the Dollar, why don't we create the demand for the kwacha to improve the exchange rate, for example, Govt can be deliberate about a policy on all copper buyers to use the Kwacha that way its demand will go up and dilute the Expensive Dollar

@@emmanuelnjovu5289 it is very viable only that we will need to keep producing more copper and sale it in its raw form, the alternative can be no export of unprocessed copper

Why is it that you as government you cant take over running the mines and not looking for investors/privatization of the mines by foreigners?
The government runs the mines via ZCCM-IH you didnt know that? The issue is that mining is a very expensive business and you dont get your profit immediately. If you put in $100M for example, you will likely get that $100M after a number of years. World over, everyone is getting partners the issue is on the shares negotiated. You bring more money you get more shares kwasila.
