- This lecture was giving by Dawud Adib on June 18, 2011. In this lecture he responds to the writings of blogger, Umar Lee, about the History of the Salafi Da'wah in America. I love Dawud Adib may Allah preserve him & he is one of my teachers. When I first became muslim I learned alot from him. And yes I am Salafi Sunni. I follow the way of the prophet & the companions. This is what the prophet salli allahu alayhi was salaam said we are suppoesed to do. Thats al salafi is, plain & simple & the four imams were upon the same thing. The even said if we fin anything that they ahve said contrary to the Quran & the Sunnah, take from the Quran & the Sunnah alhumduillah!
Dawud is a smart man & he knows plenty about so many things. His history of Islam & all the schims that thrreaten & divide the muslims! we all have our faults & I ask Allah to forgive all our sins, Amin. Learn from this brother, you will learn alot inshallah. Alhumduillah I have been listening to him all my muslim life which is going on 21 years alhumduillah! Thats how long I have been taking from this brother. He was our imam here in Philadelphia for a couple of years, we really benefited.
May Allah accept our brother Dawud Adib in this dunia and the hereafter. ❤

It was at this lecture when I first learned this du’aa. I pray to Allaah that he rewards the brother with good and allow home to benefit every time I say this du’aa, Ameen.

Usually when someone has a problem with Salafiyah , you will notice that they will some major deficiencies in their deen ,ahkle,and basic understanding of the religion.some of the things the sects of misguidance say and assume are beyond my understanding .by the way there was a shaykh present for thos that wonder how the ulamaa would feel about this topic

shuaib hassan is the translator of the book by shaykh nassir uddeen albanni the prophets prayer discribed and yes he shuaib hassan has been refuted but worthy of note is that you will find the book mentioned in makhtaab assalafiyah in birmingham england where i live, however this does not mean the book in question is without error allahu alaam i haven't read that book.
what i'm trying to get at is if the book has been checked by brothers with ilm and is without aqeedah/manhaj errors then its ok

Read the following books: The Muslim Creed by Dr. Suhaib Hasan, The Creed of Ibn Abi Zayd Al-qQayrawani with Commentary of Shaikh Ahmad Ibn Yahya Al-Najmi, The Aqeedah Of Imaam al-Bukhari by The Imaam of Hadeeth Abu Abdillaah Muhammad ibn Isma'eel al-Bukhari, and Explanation of the Creed by Al Barbaharee.

Suhaib Hasan is not the translator but his son 'Usama Hasan' is the translator.
In reality, it is not his book. It's 1 of the only English translations of, 'Aqeedah at Tahawi currently in print (the other is by Hamza Yusuf). It is consistant with the out of print trans. endorsed by Imam Ibn Saud University; however, I should have stated the condition of Suhaib Hassan. Jazakallah khayr.
alsalam alaikum, salafi is just another word for someone who practices islam like the prophet Mohamed (PBUH) and his companions at their time. Salafi takes from all four mad'ahab . they preach the quran and the authentic sunna. Do you ever recall hearing a hadith that islam will split into 72-73 sects? then the rasool (PBUH) says that all of them are in the hell fire except for one!! when his companions asked who? those who practice like i and my friends today. meaning pure nothing added or sub-
first of all to call one self salafi like belonging to a sect , the correct response is to say that you are upon the salaf ways.Salafi is simply the way of the companions and his wive.s. The sunnah of our prophet. I am not salafi , I am upon the ways of the salafi.

@SaLaFusSaLeh We say may Allaah reward him for the good he has done and may Allaah guide him. People who don't follow the sunnah are like alcohol. Alcohol has benefits in it but the bad far out weighs the good. Do we go around saying how can we forget about the good alcohol has? No of course not we just forget about it and do not associate ourselves with it at all.

He is not referring to that Imran Hosein, the Sufi. He is referring to another one who studied for a while in Madinah. There are about 3 Imran Hoseins.
There is Imran Hosein Radia Allahu anh the noble companion of the Prophet Sallahu alayhi wa Salam.
There is Shaykh Imran Hosein who is a student of the Ulama who lives in mecca. May Allah grant him good health and success.
There is Imran Hosein the Deviant Sufi who has a corrupt aqeedah. May Allah guide his followers.
None of those books say anything about been salafi, they are all about creed. Which doesn't answer my questions about salafi group.
Indeed, everyone is leaving this "salafi" hizb. Alhamdulillah I left it and so many other brothers left it. Typical of Dawud Adib, this is all he knows, how to talk about other students of knowledge. He has some nerve speaking about these brothers as if they left the fold of Islaam. "Ya muqallibal quloob thabit qalbi 3la deenik" concerns the religion of Allaah. Not some sick sect called "salafiya".

@SalafeeSpot "sticks". Because the brother associates or knows these brothers makes him a "deviant". Talk about hizbiyya akhi may Allaah cause you to put the ayat ('Innamal Mu2minoona ikhwa') and the hadeeth (al muslim akh'ul muslim) first and foremost before your own desires. Furthermore, who declared Yusuf Estes to be a deviant? He's just a layman trying to help the da3wah in America. Hundreds have become Muslim through this man, should we just forget that?
@SaLaFusSaLeh you have ZERO knowledge have you ever read the books of Jarh wa Ta'deel in those books which are widespread in the arabic language where many many many of the Ulamaah Tabi'een would consider backbiting for deen better than Jihad Yaha bin Ma'een & Imam Ahmad for example. Shu'bah who was even before them use to say come lets backbite for the sake of Allah, and do you know who use to say what you are saying at the time of the Salaf nobody except the SUFI'S. are you a sufi?

I meant to say upon the ways of the Salaf. The predecessors. We are not supposed to call another Muslim a Shayton.. I want the proof for that. as for the condition of the salafis it is nothing like it used to be. Go to the salafi masjids and tell me where the unity is as a muslim community. 77 sects and only one will be in Jannah. We dont know which one walakin(however) I have to say if you live by the ways of the prophet and his companions you are on the right path. And allah knows best

So what's this salafi thing...Do I have to attend their masjid and only their masjid? Do I have to ascribe to Hanabi mad'hab? ...I really never Understood what they are preaching, is salafi a group u become part of or following sunnah and understanding...There is issues of Aqeedah (creed) that can't be taken lightly and then there are issues of madhabs and understandings, even sahabba took different stands in different issues. Prophet Ibrahim proclaimed us Muslimeen and we shall stay that.
@NasirAlHanbali Have you ever read the Qur'an or authentic hadeeth? What is the greatest jihad that bears the greatest reward? Furthermore what does backbiting innovators have to do with this? Is he backbiting innovators?! He's speaking MOSTLY about people of the Sunnah. Furthermore, the only correct thing you've really said here is that I have zero knowledge. And so what if that is the case? Get off your high horse. Furthermore, I'm not a Sufi.
@SaLaFusSaLeh Well anyone with a right mind is a known slanderer of Muhammed Al Jibaly. Yes some of his books have benefit in them but the man himself is deviant and sticks to the likes of Yusuf Estes and Bilal Phillips

Nothing noble about someone who had to flee from Saudiyya due to the hadd almost being implemented on him. Furthermore, he's a known slanderer of Muhammad Jibaly, so why would anyone listen to this guy?
Wow. Almost a full hour of spin, misrepresentation, and name dropping(even though he said at the beginning that he would be avoiding mentioning certain names?) All that willingly assisted in producing this lecture should feel ashamed of themselves, may Allah forgive us and them. And @NasirAlHanbali, please brother, grow up. Attempting to employ statements of our Salaf without fully understanding the context in which they were made serves to make one look silly.

You obviously don't know this brother. You would've been better off with just saying "May Allah guide this man, ameen..." and left it at that. Everything else was just a waste and borderlined on offending a student and major Da'ee of this deen. one of his teachers was the Grand Muhaddith of our time, Shaykh Nasiruddeen Al-Albaanee(Rahimahullah). Taqwa Allah akhi. Maa salaam.
May Allah guide me and you from wasting our time in pointless lecture such as this ameen.

Seems like he had a lot of intuition and insights because you currently try to dissuade people from coming to Islam.
