Hey! I notice you have a MacBook Pro for your laptop. Would you recommend that or a PC for usage in the school of Engineering at A&M? I'll be attending next fall, and I'm debating whether or not to buy an Apple product alongside the PC I'm using currently.
Big fan of my Macbook Pro and iPad with Apple Pencil for engineering, it's an absolute game changer. Look up JaniceStudies for her videos on the iPad. I use VirtualLab for any programs that need Windows to run, it works fine. I much prefer Apple since all of my products are connected, I can Airdrop things easily from phone to laptop to tablet and everything is shared (passwords, copy and paste, messages, etc).
My rank was 15 out of 115 in the first semester. But then it improved to 13 out of 121 in the second semester. I got some school awards. Now i am a sophomore and I am trying to improve my rank and do more extracurricular activities. What are my chances of getting in to A&M engineering?
Try to be the top 10% of your class. (Top 10% are automatic accepted to the university). If your school offers dual enrollment or ap classes, take them. (You dont have to. I know far too well that their difficult. Its just a recommendation) if your school doesn't offer them, then be involve in extracurricular activities especially those surrounding the type of engineering you want to go into. If possible internships or volunteering in places to gain experience to put in your resume. Lastly, apply early to the university and the college. You'll get an early decision when you apply before Oct 15 and get a decision mid dec. (I apply and got accepted to texas a&m but after Oct 15, so I dunno if I got in the college of engineering) This is what I saw on my application and they asked for. Theres essays questions but its mostly about your experience and why you decided to be in the college of engineering. Hope this helps! Good luck!!!
I'm considering biomedical engineering at a&m.. any tips? what classes have you struggled with the most and have you heard from any biomed engineering students if they are enjoying it or struggling lol
From a mechanical engineer with an internship in the biomedical industry, my manager said it's much easier to be hired as a mechanical, electrical, chemical, etc engineer rather than a biomedical. Biomedical is very specialized, it narrows your job options because employers want someone to be qualified in ____ and can learn biomedical stuff in training. I suggest majoring in a classic engineering degree with a minor or take classes about biology/biomedical stuff.
Hi! Awesome video! But I’m trying to get into A&M engineering atm because I’m a senior. I’m trying to apply for electrical or mechanical engineering at A&M college station. My rank is 99/573 in my high school (3.72 GPA) My sat is a 1380(610 EBRW, 770 M). I have a part time job since June 2019, about 5 honor societies, I used to volunteer every week at a local Tamil school (nonprofit). I used to do the math and science club as well. My AP classes include physics 1 and physics 2, Calculus BC, (dual credit) US history, And Comp Sci A. This year I’m doing physics C stats Econ and gov for APs. I did mess up my freshman year (rank 165) btw. I have an industrial engineering internship and a part time job. I did a coding camp and a debate camp as well during my freshman and sophomore year summers. What are my chances of getting in? sorry for the long comment if you read, and have a great day!
I'm sorry I can only speak from my experience, but I do think you have a pretty good chance of getting in, but it honestly depends on the admission office!
Honestly you have a great chance of getting in, i applied with lower test scores and I was accepted. And if you are planning to apply for electrical or mechanical the most important thing is once you been accepted you will take two semesters before you apply for your specific major. And your best chance of being accepted into the electrical or mechanical is by having a 3.5 GPA. Also i applied coming out of high school with a lower GPA so you should be fine. Once your accepted work on getting that 3.5GPA
You rush, then you pledge, then they haze you, then you might join if they like you. If you get in you party a lot, meet and fuck hot girls, and you make amazing friends. And that’s it.
@@ashleyuyenohh okay... I am thinking of joining tamu by fall 2020 but I don't know much about it. Can you help me by providing some information please. I have followed you on Instagram 😢
My gf is an engineering major at A&M. Ive seen her at the end of a busy week. She would look absolutely exhausted sometimes.
Could you do a video over your laptop? I want to be an engineer and I’m not sure what laptop to get. :))
Great to see another engineering student on here 😄
we love this content periodt
Aww I'm glad you like it!
Wow you’re just like me with the bad habits, I thought I was the only one
Hey I have a question. What were your stats in hs to be an engineering major

Hi! I will be transferring to A&M this fall. What dorms or apartments do you recommend for an engineering student?
For apartments, anything near Northgate is really convenient and northside dorms!
stay away from FHK living wise but we got the best bonfire crew.
hey that’s me!
Yo @ashley I also go to A&M. I know its tough, but you got this. Gig'em
You got this too! Gig em!
