I've never even watched Beast Wars but once I saw Inferno for the first time I fell immediately in love with his design! Definitely looking to pick him up!
Love this Inferno, you can just hear his maniacal laughter, a worthy servant for the Royalty And if you've got the original figure you can get him to hold his original weapon (the ant mandible) so he can have his jet butt and wield a weapon at the same time
The bug head parts do actually open wider for easier sliding out of the mandibles it just just doesn't feel like it at first. Your hinges are probably just a little too tight at first like mine were.. They loosen up after a few times though they don't get super loose thankfully ( they of course probably could if they're opened and closed a multitude of times)
I'm not the biggest fan of Beast Wars, but because of Earthrise and now Legacy I got a couple of the beasties, because they are solid figures. I'm not a big fan of bug legs and I think the original toy did a better job hiding them but I love the new Inferno figure. I just love the giant fireant.
Perhaps the best part of Beast Wars Inferno is that someday, someone might ask if a flying Transformer ever had a groundbound alt, and then I can just pull up a clip of him in action. Also just about everything else about Inferno, which is also great.
I got this figure unexpectedly delivered early by Bigbadtoystore less than 2 weeks ago and really like it for the most part, a good addition to my beast wars figures on my book case..except it's weird smelling plastic that it has so once I transformered it back to robot mode for display with my other beast wars figures i'm probably not going to touch it again
No mention of his robot mouth opening...?? Also the ant head does separate further when splitting in 2, there's a notch on each side it will soft click after that point.
I wonder how he scales with Quickstrike? It is extremely unlikely they will ever make Fuzors again. Also, I foresee Selects Antagony in the not too distant future.
I hope it's just regular Gen Selects. Buzzworthy Bumblebee Voyagers don't come out where I am and I don't want to pay scalper prices + modern international shipping for her.
He has some issues. Robot mode looks great, but there wasn't much effort to hide the robot legs in beast mode. His back end reminds me of Kingdom Dinobot in that sense. The weapon should have been his actual flame thrower rather than his butt rocket, which should have been stationary. I know it's tough to do bug Transformers, but they just pulled off a perfect one with Tarantulas, and they have done others before. This one has too much kibble showing.

Removing his gun and replacing it with his jet butt. It is a weird omission.
